Ordered fish, and it was trust the Gordon’s fisherman -frozen fish filets, I could have purchased the same thing for a hell of a lot less that the +$20 I paid at WVB. Never will I eat there again, it’s a ripoff.

Really enjoy the Golden Valley experience.. however have noticed for the last few months when I have ordered their Ribeye.. that I have asked that instead of the offered vegetable of the day that they substitute a small portion of the Mac and cheese along with white rice. Has been acknowledged by several different proportions of the Mac and Cheese.. some of which I have been charged for and others after a lecture from the waiters and or waitresses that 'this' order would be honored but that Mac and Cheese can not be used as substitute.. even the child"s portion. Approx 3 wks prior was advised by an asst manager after discussing with her manager (name of which was not mentioned but white haired) that if I ordered the kid's Mac and cheese as the substitute for the vegetable this would eliminate the confusion! Yay..a solution so I thought!! Yesterday I went in.. ordered the ribeye and asked for a kid's Mac and Cheese. AND guess what!!?? Yet another lecture as to why this could not be done but she went to her manager (the same dude who supposedly suggested the kid's substitute with my order the time before..no name but short white hair!)Am tired of lectures!!.. esp when paying a hefty price for a steak nowadays!!What the heck.. for a veg of the day substitute.Have enjoyed the GV, but I best find another place to order a ribeye as being a senior .. grow weary of Varying reason lectures from servers as to why Mac and Cheese can not be a substitute!Golden Valley.. heard of picking your battles and the customer who is paying for the food should be appeased without lectures??

Wonderful food! I ordered the meatloaf dinner and it was excellent! Good cider too.The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. Nice seating with lots of dark wood, and it wasn't too loud to be able to carry on a normal conversation.The chocolate torte for dessert didn't hurt either.

Alaskan Salmon Sucked. It was dry with absolutely No season of Any Sort. The Rice was Under cooked, The Greens Were Mushy also with NO SEASONING, And the Over all Plating looked UNAPPEALING and UNAPPETIZING. I Would Recommend Not Ordering The SALMON. As for the Host And Waitress, They were great.

Bar tender was very grumpy with staff while I was picking up my to-go order. $73 for crap food! Missed our sides, hardly any French fries with our burgers, and the speaking of the burgers, more bread than beef! I'll never eat here again!
Whenever I'm in McMinnville, I come here since I like beer in the heart of wine country. The food is good and the bartender, Taylor, is a sweetheart. A good place in the bar area to watch sports and eat.

Stellar! Burgers or gourmet gorgonzola mushroom pasta (aka: casual or fancy), all served with locally raised beef, local brew and local wines. Food was quick and delicious (it's hard to get a burger cooked exactly right). We're here for a week and plan to make at least one trip back before heading home.

After searching and searching for a restaurant that would please most of the family plus gluten-free for me, I picked this one for dinner. Man-oh-man were we all happy!! I, myself, had the Vegetable Curry (as is with no add-ons) and it was AMAZING. Others had the southwest bowl, the buffalo wings, and the baked mac'n'cheese. No one was disappointed in their meal! Their beer list was decent, the wine list a little heavy on Pinot Noir but that's to be expected for the area. Overall, a great pick for a family-friendly meal.

Been to GV many times. Don’t order mixed drinks or complex dishes and you’ll be happy. Service depends on the day. Best case scenario, you have a super meal and experience. Worst case, you’re leaving before appetizers. I’ve done both.
