The chicken in the quesadilla was so good. I can’t stop thinking about it months later. Pls never close so I can try it again. All the food we got was delicious but that chicken hits different.

Portions have drastically shrunk, to the point of still being hungry once finished. Burrito bowl lost 1/3 of its contents and they now charge $3 for a small scoop of guacamole. The competition seams to have seriously distanced themselves from Joses!

I came to Jose’s after a lengthy travel day from Tucson AZ. After checking into the hotel I was worn out significantly and very hungry as my day started at 1:30am (it is now 8:00pm local time). Normally, I avoid Mexican food during travel because I am lucky enough to live in one of the best places in the country for it. That said, Jose’s was literally two minutes away, so I figured I’d give it a shot as I was too weary to really want to put more effort into finding something else. Upon walking into the taqueria the atmosphere was immediately welcoming and vibrant with all the food on display and looking fresh, despite it being near the end of the business day for them. After selecting a double meat Nachos to go; I was impressed by the warm service, recommended options for a first timer, and the quickness they were getting great smelling food out to the diners that had arrived before me. I was excited. After returning to my hotel, that initial excitement melted into genuine appreciation and satisfaction for what I had stumbled upon. Definitely above average quality food, made with legitimate care and passion and served with a great attitude. I couldn’t have asked for more especially so tonight feeling half dead. I would happily recommend you try it if you’re in the area, the Sopes looked incredible too!

I kept wanting to love this place. The staff are friendly, they have a great selection of hot sauce, and their menu is authentic. However, my normal order of a chile Verde plate leaves a lot to be desired. I've felt nauseous after eating here a couple times, and other times, the chile Verde has no flavor except for salt.
I know that times are tough, but having a credit card surcharge, along with a POS that asks for a tip for counter service, makes me less likely to want to eat here.
Also, the recent switch from coca cola products to Pepsi, is much like the final straw. The economy is hurting, restaurants are hurting, locals are hurting, but we can't keep passing the buck to each other with lackluster food.

We popped in as we were passing through town on our way home. We had the Birria tacos, and they were spectacular. After the first bite, the wife said she'd drive the hour back to here just to get them again.
Amazing food and great service as well as we had a big group when I went and they hanlded our order with great customer service!

Every time I am in McMinnville I get the quesabirria tacos from here. I can honestly say these are hands down the best. The consomé is super flavorful and the tacos are crispy, cheesy and meaty…. Add the green salsa and a squeeze of lime! Perfection!!!
