We have enjoyed many, many years at Nicks Italian cafe. This became such a destination restaurant for us from the first dinner we enjoyed on our first wedding anniversary. Through all of the changes from then until recently, the evolution of Nicks still kept this initial experience and all following at such a wonderful level. We unfortunately were very disappointed with the new owners offerings. None of the delicious family recipes we enjoyed were present on our recent visit, and what we did receive was very average at best. Hard to understand how so many dishes and the years of accolades received would warrant their total replacement. If you have enjoyed Nicks family minestrone, the crab or salmon lasagna, or the unbelievably delicate spinach ravioli you know exactly what I mean.

Atmosphere was extremely loud, could not even talk amongst our small party. Order was wrong. Girl with dark hair and sleeve tattoos on both arms was extremely rude and acted like she didn’t have the time of day for us. Not to mention we spent roughly $500.00. Won’t go back again. This is why businesses don’t make it on our beloved 3rd street. Very sad and disappointing!!

Just a question why only three tables of customers at 8;30 pm on a Saturday night? They stopped us from going in. Plus the famous minestrone soup is history.
$16 for a Caesar salad for a pile of leaves that all had red ends. The home made pasta was undercooked and hard.

Nick's has really good food. The service was very quick. The atmosphere is very loud. It was delicious but felt rushed. Happy you're still around.

This is the closest thing to authentic Italian pizza I’ve found in Oregon thus far. The crust was flakey thin but not floppy. The mozzarella was fresh and flavorful. The tomato’s were fresh and bright. All of the flavors in this dish were combining to create a wonderful experience overall. The staff was also amazing and being able to see into the kitchen at the bar was an experience in itself. You can see how much care and dedication each and every person puts into their work at this place. 100% recommend to anyone who drives through McMinnville or if you just need a place to go.
Parking: Street parking would vary based on the time of day.

We have fequented this establishment for 40 years and the were sold and keept the name. So 😞 disappointed they didn't keep Nicks recipes. No minastrone or crab lasagna. We won't be going back.

Megan was amazing. Great energy and fabulous server. It's nice to Nick's back open thanks to earth and sea. Having a few Italian options in town is always needed. Pasta is made fresh. Brucetta and pasta with meatballs are great. Even the puff pastry (profiterioes) Would suggest doing lunch vs. dinner, as it's less crowded.

Our group loved our experience at Nick's. We had Nick (not the original) for our Server and his service was exceptional. Loved the food and dessert topped off a great evening. Would definitely recommend.

In fairness I have yet to try Nick's since the reopen. I know some of the people and hard work that went into the reopen I encourage people to take their "constructive criticism", in real time, to the staff and management. Low ratings on review platforms hurt restaurants long term. Even if they improve, the algorithm of these review sites never up/improve your score. And face it, many people make their choices based off stars alone.

Enjoyed a special birthday lunch stop at family-friendly Nick's and had a great experience. Attentive staff, comfy atmosphere and best of all the food! We shared a lot, and loved the meatball app, and the oven roasted broccolini was perfection! Our pasta main was a treat as well, and my daughter devoured the complimentary bread.
