Avoid this place!
Food is terrible! No taste good. The Pad Thai tastes ketchup!
Food is served in to go boxes. You will eat in paper plates and disposable fork.
Smells terrible.

We love this Thai restaurant. The flavors are amazing! We tried almost everything on the menu and were never disappointed.

Heavens....I work in service industry so I rarely leave a poor review. I am so sorry to say this place has lost all delight. Perhaps it is okay for take out. But for close to $20 a plate.....go somewhere else! Curry served to table in a to go container with cheap plastic spoon. How on earth am I to eat like that. Get your own water, bus your own table. We used to love eating here. Such a waste.

Unfortunately this place has gone way down hill. It smelled of rodent dropping. And all the food way mediocre at best. Use to be great. Hopefully they figure it out. We won't be back...

What happened to this place? It used to be my favorite restaurant in McMinnville. We had the same experience as all these other reviews. Flavorless food served in take out containers. Awkward atmosphere.

Pass on this place! Noodles over cooked and veggies under cooked with no flavor. Nice people but the way you order and get your food was just, different.. won't be going back.

Well traditionally I don't give too many poor reviews but I'm hoping this one will connect with the owners of Thai Country. I've lived in McMinnville for over 20 years and have eaten here many many times. I've also traveled extensively and love good Thai food. I heard a comedian once say you can't really give a well reasoned review unless you've had that food or dish 100 times. So in that regard I'm 100% there. Thai Country has never been great although it was better in the past. Now it seems they are putting the minimal amount of effort and they are getting older... so I get it. There's no passion for the food or service. There's a feeling of inertia carrying the restaurant forward to eventually closing in a sad way. The food is bland and if you eat inside it's now served in to go containers. Here's my suggestion.... and I make this out of love for the people that opened this restaurant up and have since lost their way. Sell the restaurant!!! Sell it to people who love Thai food and want great Thai food to be in McMinnville. Your restaurant could be a gold mine even if it doesn't seem like it now. I'm guessing Thai Country in the hands of passionate people could transform it into a wonderful addition to town. Please do this and take that money and retire. It's time. Seriously you could probably use the break. Take up painting. Just stop making me hurt where I could be feeling good in my mouth. The one good thing I can say about you is sometimes I get your food and take it home to fix it. I add ingredients to your large portions to make it much better. I do this because I love Thai food that much and don't want to travel to Portland to enjoy my favorite type of food. Seriously sell the restaurant to people who will treat it like they care. This review is made out of love. Seriously sell the restaurant..

My wife & I were both very disappointed with this restaurant. Food is ordered at a counter and then brought out served in to-go containers with plastic utensils. The food itself tasted mediocre and gave us both indigestion. We will not be returning. I was shocked that this place had a 4.3 rating, but as other reviewers have written, I think this was a much different restaurant pre-pandemic.

Atmosphere has died. If you want to sit inside they serve you with to-go containers and plastic silverware.

This restaurant is not recommended. The food is not very good. The curry is the thickness of broth and lack flavor. The pad Thai has a strange salty, sour flavor that gets stronger the more you eat. Along with that the service is non-existent. You order at the front, serve your own water, and clean your own table. Cleaning the table isn't tough since the food is served in take out boxes with disposable utensils. Overall a disappointing experience.

Parking: About 5 spots on the street in front of the restaurant.

The food was fine! The atmosphere itself felt tense and awkward. There wasn’t anyone in the restaurant besides my husband, my sister-in-law and I. Even though it was just us we had to go up and order our food after looking at the menus at our table. There wasn’t any music playing so it was just us in the silent empty dining room while the lady at the counter stayed the entire time and watched us a couple times. What bothered me most was their lack of communication amongst each other. I had ordered a Thai tea with my food. We paid for our food and drinks and sat down at our table. Soon enough the lady walked over with my Thai tea which WAS delicious. About 5 minutes later another woman walked over and gave us another Thai tea. We were confused because we thought that maybe they were just being friendly and giving us another one for free, as my Thai tea was very visible the entire time when she delivered us the other one. To our surprise, she comes over to give us our appetizers and notices that she gave us another one even though I already had mine. Some time goes by and after giving us our entrees she gives us a bill for the OTHER Thai tea that we didn’t even ask for. I was a little irritated because we had already spent $80 with tip on our meals and drinks just to be charged $5.50 for THEIR lack of communication and observation to the Thai tea that was clearly already on the table. Thankfully they brought the price down to $3.00 instead, but it bothered all of us that we had to pay for their mistake. We won’t be dining in again. Not even sure if we will be eating their food again. It was a very disappointing first time experience.

We came to dine in. We arrived at about 11:30 am, and there were no other customers present. We were shocked that you have to order at the counter, and they won't give you real dishes to use, even when you ask for it. You eat out of plastic while dining in! The lady who brought us the food was grouchy. They need music for a better atmosphere. They expect you to tip, but you bus your own table. Food was good, but everything else was a disappointment.
