My wife and I always have a great experience at The Bitter Monk. Their tap list is small, which keeps the beer fresh and the selection always changing. They have the best (and very reasonably priced) canned beer selection within an hour drive of Mac, so it's a great place to pop in for a few cans to go too!

Rad spot. Becky rocks.

The Bitter Monk has an excellent selection of bottled beers, in addition to a very good list of beers on tap. There is no food available, hence my not rating it.

A local treasure for beer lovers. Light wood paneling inside makes a cozy, vaguely Scandinavian vibe, and the outdoor seating is fabulous when the weather is cooperative. In my experience they usually have wine, or other options, available if you're not into beer at the moment. The staff are good people and the music is worthy, I'm usually inspired to Shazam something while I'm there. My favorite = playing board games inside on a rainy afternoon.

The Bitter Monk is a great craft beer bar with a rotating tap list and numerous can and bottles to choose from.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not easily accessible for a wheelchair given a couple inch rise (not a full step) at the door.

I love it here! not only is the vibe relaxed and welcoming. The employees are really keen on giving you suggestions of what to try and have even learned my plate l palate to help me broaden what type I beers I enjoy based on what I've experienced in the past. Becky and Alyssa are really well versed in the differences of the styles and regional flavors. love coming in here for a point or two or even to grab things for home. the varietals are unmatched.

Love this place! Great service, Becky is awesome! I do wish they had more light beers, less sour and ipas but those are what sell. So I get it.

Wish they focused on selling beer and not playing politics. Christians are not welcome here
