This is not just a restaurant it is a place that envelopes you in kindness and warmth. Aside from the fact that the food is fresh a d local and AMAZING, the staff is beyond excellent. Despite the name this is not your typical diner it is an experience in excellence and is our family’s place for all major events. I simply love it
Every restaurant has rules. So every customer gets the best experience. The Diner has excellent food. Consistent food quality. And wonderful staff. I have never had a bad experience. I will rate them a 5 star. Food is fresh, staff well trained and clean. Thank you ,Judy.
Seating policy requires everyone in the party to be there before seating them. This is unnecessarily pedantic, when the restaurant is not running at capacity. Attention to detail is poor. When a new diner joins in a party, no cutlery was provided. No extra water was served. Tables were not bussed, and coffee top ups had to be requested. Proper staff training and allocation of duties would address such issues. This is NOT a big restaurant; three service staff is sufficient. Cavalier attitude of service staff. While clearing plates, food remnants fell on a diner’s shoulder. Initial response when told, “oh no!” Diner had to request napkins to clean up. No apology. After that, she came by offered a non-apology, “I’m sorry. Accidents happen.” Really? Food portions may be large, which is no big deal when compared to the generally higher prices charged by the Diner. So you get what you paid for. For the poor service alone, it is on my never-again list.

Breakfast potatoes were only mildly warm with cool areas and lacked flavor. Prices charged are not the prices on the posted menu. I should have looked closer at the itemized bill. The combined bill was approximately 5 dollars over charged in total. The wait staff were perfect.

Great food! Tequila sunrise was perfect as well.
For the most creative, beautiful, delicious and fairly priced Fine dining experience, don’t miss The Diner! Located between Stratus & Norton Lane next to the Comfort Inn in McMinnville!
Great food, the service was great too but I loved the atmosphere the most. It was busy when I went, it's a small but cute restaurant.
People were waiting while tables were open. Waited 20mins when table was available.

It's like having breakfast with the family. There is laughter, excellent homemade food, and sometimes an argument takes place. But at the end of the day, you knew you loved that little family.

My hamburger and fries was so good!
Came at 11 on a Friday for brunch this weekend. 2 of us got sat by nice window. Cool interior and vibe inside an architecturally cool building out by wvmc on hwy in Mac. Excellent service and frequent water refills. Service is a well oiled machine here- especially since it was bustling- not packed, but busy. Me and the bestie ordered bloody Mary’s (I try on at each new spot I go to. And I’m picky) and eggs Bennie’s. But, there is many curated sweet and savory thoughtful choices here! I wanted their house sausage gravy and homemade cheddar biscuits cause they looked amaze online, but we were headed to the spa after… so that for next time. I ordered fried chicken n bacon eggs benny on a cheddar biscuit with hollandaise. And tater tots for fun instead of basic hashbrowns. Dude. Crispy juicy chicken. Lemony silky hollandaise- not clumpy thank you. Crispy thick cut bacon. They make their own bread- so that biscuit was soft and chewy with crusty edges. And tater tots! Jeez they were as good as McMenis Cajun tots imo! Not oily, tasty ranch too. I’ll will be back for that sausage gravy. My friend had the prawn Bennie with hollandaise and English muffin- like a Classic with a twist. She said it was delicious also. I loved that they had like 5 choices for Bloodys- I was especially looking forward to the “smoked” component, and I hit that, but the amount of booze was lacking and for me, it needed more horseradish and Worcestershire and hot sauce to be a good bloody for me. I like a full bodied spicy one. Oh well. Our server was the owner’s daughter. And I loved her knowledge of the items and ingredients, her friendly cool nature, and I noticed the way she ran the ship- kudos girl. Your service and your team and food will make me return . For gravy. Plus guys- they have Mac Meltdown trophies for like the last 7 years. A great sign ifykyk.
The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was disappointing, the French toast was dry, it tasted like I was eating toast with syrup and the sausage patties were tough and dry. The eggs were cooked well and the coffee was good but I do not recommend the French toast or sausage.
Tried a special sweet potato waffle with maple whipped cream, orange syrup, pecans, and candied bacon. Waitress said her mom owned the place and she had to get a picture of someone ordering one of the specials for her. It was delicious.
Fairly small place, pretty busy, but only a few minutes wait on a Saturday morning.
