⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Delightful lunch at Wooden Heart! We tried the Soppressata pizza and it was incredible. The wood-fired crust was perfect, with a light char that added a smoky nuance. The pizza is a perfect balance of sweet and spicy.

Every bite was a balanced take on sweet, spicy, salty, and creamy… a real crowd-pleaser. The flavors felt intentional and thoughtfully combined, making it clear that Wooden Heart cares deeply about quality. Paired with their relaxed yet refined atmosphere and friendly service, it’s an ideal stop whether you’re wine-tasting in Dundee or just passing through. Highly recommend!

The service and food were so great that we dined here both nights! Every dish we tried was delicious, and the drinks were excellent. Our favorite was the calamari with spicy chard—absolutely phenomenal. Katie was a delight and made our anniversary celebration even more special. In fact, every staff member we encountered was amazing. Thank you for two fantastic nights of dining!

Edit: Great first experience, awful return visit. Plethora of problems and server did nothing to try and rectify the issue. Sad we won’t be returning.

This place is a bright spot. I’ve never had a galette and it was delicious and felt decadent after the disappointing morning I had. I showed up hangry and the absolutely lovely waitress suggested a wine similar to her gorgeous hair color and, impressively, smoothed another bump when I wasn’t able to get the dessert I wanted. The hotel is lucky to be connected to them.

Had a reservation on a Wednesday evening. Ordered when we sat down.

It took 20 minutes to get out drinks. A really old nasty iced tea and the wrong soda.

It took another 25 minutes to get our appetizer that was burned. Then our main course showed up 5 minutes later.

10 minutes later they showed up asking if we wanted boxes!!

Do not recommend.

The place is nice, food and service not so much. It took too long (waiter was super nice, but food took too long)We waited about 1 hour to get the Entree, first time we ordered and they came back saying that they didn't have it available (NY steak) we ordered something else. Food wasn't anything extraordinary, I have been here before and it was good, this time it felt like presentation, flavor and food overall wasn't right. Plan was to get dessert but after how it went we left. I personally would not recommend it even though the place is nice, but that's it. There's so many nice options in the area that will have great service and good food for same price range. Not a wide variety of food either, 3-4 pasta options, a few burgers, and one steak option (which was out of stock). Again, waiter was very polite, she didn't mention any kitchen issues or delays with the food but it was happening. Spend a total of $110 for 2 entrees, 1 appetizer and 2 margaritas.

Pizza was good except for the totally burnt section. They said that's normal for a wood burning pizza oven... Not convinced. Waitress was good, unburnt parts of the pizza was great. Wine prices were fair.

Honestly I'm not even sure where to start - every aspect of our visit here was phenomenal. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, friendly, and efficient, right to down treating our 16 month old like she was the one paying the bill. This level of service continued throughout the entire visit.

The atmosphere is wonderful - modern but still warm, nicely appointed, comfortable chairs, and for a group with a member who is very hard of hearing, open concept with lots of hard surfaces and lots of conversations can be challenging, but it is well-balanced and proved very doable.

Now the food - every single dish was amazing. Calamari, salads, pizza, dessert. Simple, vibrant flavors. Creative combinations. Perfect finish on everything. Also the cocktails - my new favorite negroni. The pizza, obviously, is the star of the show - the crust is chewy and crispy and just the right amount of tangy. The toppings are fresh, high quality, balanced, and flavorful.

All in all, a home run - absolutely recommend you move this to the top of your list for your next night put in wine country!

In an area where dining options are limited, discovering this gem was a pleasant surprise. We chose to sit at the bar and enjoyed warm, fresh food paired with an excellent wine selection. The bartender was attentive and welcoming, and the clean, well-maintained restrooms were a nice touch. After a day exploring Oregon Wine Country, we’ll definitely be stopping here again!

I had the halibut fish and chips, maybe that doesn't sound very exciting, but it was exceptional. Others had pizza and a pasta seafood dish and all of it was very good

We love this place! We have a student who is a football player at Fox and we are in the area almost every weekend in the fall. We recently found wooden heart but have been 4x in two weeks! It far surpasses many of the nicer places down the road. Food is amazing, drinks are creative, service is so good. The only downside is it appears that the servers also double as bartenders. If your server disappears during busy times it’s just because they are making drinks for the 8 top next to you! Seems like an impossible task for servers to not have a designated bartender especially during busy hours.

Big accident in Dundee so a bunch of staff couldn’t show up. The staff that were there explained the situation and got all 10 of the folks waiting for a table organized. For us, other than a longish wait for a table we couldn’t tell they were short staffed.

Margherita and mushroom pizzas were both excellent as was the Pinot Noir.
