Seated promptly. Wait staff is excellent and work together as a team. Ambience is very nicely done, small dining areas in a converted house adds to the quaintness. The wine and cocktails menus are well thought out. Food is super fresh, prepared with care, and adventurous ideas. I want to say, Medford is very lucky to have a fine food restaurant like Decant. Unfortunately, a lot of people are used to chain restaurants that have typical steak & potato's served fast, in large portions, and fairly inexpensive. There's nothing wrong with that, except that's not fresh, healthy, exciting, and unique. Decant is offering a much higher standard, and a place you can taste something you probably have never tried before, because it's the chef's idea and is developed with his many years of pairing flavors and spices to create a dining experience that 99% of other restaurants don't offer. Yes it's more costly to enjoy that type of meal, and no, your not going to be able to gorge your stomach with a 24 ounce ribeye, but you will be able to taste a Dashi, or a bone marrow bordelaise, on a much smaller portion with a much higher flavor, than you have ever had!! I thoroughly enjoyed our meal, I will return, and if your wanting to step up to Top Shelf service, food, and drink, where cost isn't the driving force, try Decant, GREAT JOB, WELL DONE, owner Jessica, chef Micheal & our waiter Dalton and crew, for the best original meal we've had in quite awhile and certainly anywhere in Oregon!

Decant really hit it out of the park! The service was wonderful every thing from the host greeting and seating us to our server. We had the halibut which was fabulous and opted for the Cherry Pavlova, which was to die for and I'm not even a huge fan of cherries. We went with the Cowhirn Spiral white for our wine and that's one I've now marked on my favorites in my wine list. So glad for my one night in Medford that I was able to go!

Lily and Austin were our wait staff. Both had great personalities and were prompt in serving us and in following up to make sure our dining experience was perfect. And it was. The Chef created the perfect meal as well. Wild Caught Halibut and the Heritage tomatoes with beets and blue cheese was amazing. The Dark Chocolate Mousse was so good. Took half of it home and it can also be added to the breakfast menu because I had it this morning with coffee. We will definitely be dining with Dacant again.

We made a reservation for main dining inside. We were seated outside as they overbooked. The tri tip was a roast meat not a steak. The staff was very friendly.

Food was good - small portions, but view from table into kitchen window with bright lights or neighbor's TV antenna - not so appealing. Extremely over priced - 2oz scotch the same as a full bottle. Service - Relaxed.
