The romantic ambience for our wedding anniversary celebration was nice, and we also appreciated that we didn't have to dress up to attend. The staff were kind, professional and friendly. It did take a while to get our entrees, but the appetizers were quickly delivered. Dessert is a separate menu that comes out later unless requested sooner. Portion sizes were reasonable for an upscale dining experience. The food was delicious and creative; we are thankful to have a restaurant like this nearby!

The lamb loin was sensational. Wine (and whiskey) list is extraordinary. Austin, and all the waitstaff, provided us with attentive and excellent service. We will definitely be telling our friends on the Central Coast to make a special trip to Decant on their way to or thru Merced. This was our second visit to Decant ...the first one was two years ago and the restaurant was just as good this time or better. Outstanding flavors, beautiful plating, friendly and attentive staff. We especially loved the scallop appetizer and the pistachio crusted lamb was out of this world with beautiful garnishes. I loved my espresso martini. The chocolate mousse and honey creme brulee were both delicious. I would definitely go to this restaurant again when we are in the area. (Both times we visited when we were vacationing in Ashland.)

Well, Decant deserves a Michelin star. Austin, our waiter, was superb. We were served an excellent French champagne to begin, and it only got better. From their exceptional wine list, we selected an outstanding unique and delicious red wine. For appetizers, we loved the duck wings (amazing) and mushroom risotto (amazing). The halibut, pistachio crusted lamb, and tri tip were amazing! And then dessert: chocolate mousse, créme brulé, and an apple tart to die for. We have been half a dozen times and it is always exceptional.

Venue is outstanding; my parking experience was great (right out front), contrary to forewarnings re. a parking issue. Hostess was impeccable and engaging. Waiter was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, friendly. Price point is very high. I came in, specifically, to try the pork-belly appetizer and the scallops appetizer and was very disappointed to find that both were “out.” Overall good experience, nice staff, nice decor, nice music; prompt service and limited (but intriguing) selection.

This was by far the best date night we've had in the valley! The wait staff rotates so you're never left wanting! Each of them are uncommonly kind! A special sense of welcome and I sincerely appreciated it so much!! Our food was delicious!!! Not one bad thing to say!

Not much of a selection of wine by the glass which pushes you to purchase steeply marked up wine that is not the best quality. Would recommend the duck wings appetizer…delicious! Great server staff that worked as a team.
