Went with my mom to get breakfast here. Was shocked at how good it was. Food was hot and prepared exactly how I asked and it was delicious. The biscuits & gravy were huge and delicious. I can't believe this was my first time. Will be a regular now!

My wife and I had breakfast at the Dolly Varden, and we aren't sure which was more fantastic, the food or the service. Our server Josie was an absolute ray of sunshine and happiness. She was on top of everything, and our drink glasses were constantly kept full by her. We would go back even if the food was not that great simply because of Josie. She made our entire day much better and happier because of her service and fantastic personality. As for the food, all I can say is WOW! Huge portions that were all prepared perfectly. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable, especially in this age of inflation and price gouging. We will be back very soon. Great job by Josie and the entire staff.

You will feel like you stepped into a classic 1960's style cafe, minus the jukebox. Service is very good (coffee refills without request, e.g.), meals have fresh ingredients and prepared well. I had a veggie omelette that comes with potatoes, pancake and coffee for about $16.00.

Best Homemade Gravy I’ve ever tasted.
Josie is one of the nicest happiest servers we’ve ever met. Always has a smile, no matter how busy she is.
John the owner is loved by his employees and customers alike.

Really loved the food. I only rated 4 on atmosphere bc you can’t do much with the 70’s era building.

We have eaten here several times and ordered out here several times and until now, the new red-headed waitress take a phone order she was rude and brast and kept cutting me off very condescending talking to me like I was stupid like I didn't understand what she was talking about so I was just trying to understand how three items could cost so much 25 for French toast omelet and potatoes, she said French toast was more expensive to make like really, it's not what you say it's how you say it let people speak let them ask the questions before you answer it she's not a good fit for this restaurant it's supposed to feel like home it felt more like hell
