Traveling through Medford and randomly picked this sushi restaurant. Sushi was very tasty and fresh. My only comment on the rolls is they need to be made bit smaller in diameter as they were far to big to eat in one bite.

Fantastic Seared Salmon!!!

If you love quality sushi, this is the spot. Two people modest meals for $22 total, about $10 or so per person. So not too expensive for a light lunch that packs a punch. Try it for yourself today and see if you agree.

I had no problems here.

Amazing sushi! Service isn't the fastest and the place can get a little crowded, but the food is so good you won't care!

Flavor was okay, just expensive for what we got.
Ordered yakisoba, udon, and a California roll and paid $50..
California roll was very small and skinny and missing the cucumber.
The yakisoba was suppose to be spicy. It wasn't, just very greasy and red. When you get a ring of grease on your lips....
Also there was barley any veggies.
The udon was also suppose to be spicy, But was disappointing. It too had little to no veggies, just a bunch of what seemed to be bok choy and some mushrooms and about 3 slices of skinny zucchini. All together it was disappointing for what we spent. Won't be coming back.
Also when we were asking about a crunchy tempura shrimp sushi roll they were confused about what we talking about ... just seems like you should know that one, pretty basic.

Shinsei Sushi is one of my favorite Japanese restaurant. The wait is normally quick once you walk in, whether it be lunch or dinner time. They offer vegetarian options, which is perfect for me because I am a vegetarian. I adore their gyozas, crispy veggie rolls, and their noodle dishes. The staff are always friendly and inviting. If I lived in Medford, I would probably go every other day just to eat their gyoza and rolls. I always appreciate the plating, the chefs, and their staff. If you're looking for a new place for lunch or dinner, you need to check out Shinsei Sushi!
