The Wharf Fresh Seafood Market & Eatery in Medford, Oregon is hands down one of the best seafood restaurants in Medford and arguably the best place to eat seafood in Southern Oregon. Despite Medford not being a coastal city, this hidden gem shatters all expectations when it comes to fresh, delectable seafood.
We kicked off our culinary adventure with the North Beach Mussels in a rich, flavorful red sauce that was cooked to perfection—never rubbery, always tender. Following our server's advice, we paired them with a side of sourdough bread, perfect for soaking up every drop of that amazing sauce.
Next came the crab and artichoke dip—a true treat that set the stage for the rest of our meal. Unlike many seafood spots that skimp on the crab, this dip was generously loaded, making it a delectable, super tasty starter that had everyone raving. (Apologies for the photo of the dip missing a bite or two—we just couldn’t wait to dive in!)
Our taste buds were further delighted by the bay shrimp cocktail, served with a homemade cocktail sauce that struck the perfect balance of heat and sweetness without overpowering the shrimp. For our entrées, we indulged in both the crab and shrimp burrito and the crab and shrimp wedge salad, and needless to say, every bite was savored—there wasn’t a morsel left on our plates, even after a generous round of appetizers.
To top it all off, the cocktail menu is a fun and diverse selection of drinks, offering something for every palate. We left thoroughly impressed and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for top-notch seafood that defies expectations in Medford, make sure to stop by The Wharf Fresh Seafood Market & Eatery—you won’t be disappointed!

Awesome food & friendly staff.
We went here to celebrate mine and my mother's birthdays which are close together, but unfortunately it was also Valentine's Day. Which we did not exactly consider when planning this. They were swamped, but they did great making sure we were taken care of.
A holiday is definitely not the time to bring in a big party, we're sorry about that!
Vegetarian options: Not really the place you go for vegetarian cuisine
Parking: Parking is a hassle here when it's busy
Kid-friendliness: Typically very kid friendly. They have coloring things and kids menus with kid friendly options.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's doable, but it would be inconvenient if they're packed.

my family (6 adults. 2 kids) ate there last night. we have eaten there before but last night services was slow, half our table didn't get their drinks including the kids. the waitress kept ignoring us (they weren't busy) the food was not great, class were overcooked, the big buckets were cold no liquid to keep everything warm, the way the crab was was almost like it was old. I'm sorry but with the service we had i think it's BS that they take gratuity out automatically, almost $80 for ignoring our table and forgetting everything?
Placed a pick up order leaving Costco, and was ready by the time I got there. Had the cod basket, calamari, grilled oysters, and the Prawn basket.
Everything was clean, and tasted clean, no fishy smells or taste, batter was good, evenly seasoned. And the oyster were really good with the garlic topping.
Saved me the drive to Brookings. Will return.

Disappointed! 48 dollars for surf n turf (what i believe was a sirloin, half a potato, 4 shrimp, and 1 asparagus. I tried to make a reservation a couple days prior, but was told "we don't do that, it "should be fine". Showed up and entered into chaos! No hostess after 10 minutes I stepped behind the hostess desk and added my own name to the wait list along with 3 other groups who arrived after us. Extremely disorganized. After 30 minutes we were seated in the outdoor area which was freezing cold. We ordered instantly as we knew we wouldn't see our server again. After almost an hour and a half as we were getting up to leave our food arrived. All I can say is we won't be back ...

Ordered one of the most expensive plates( lobster linguini) . I was not asked which side dish option I wanted. Thought maybe she's going to just bring out something... nope. Waited over 45 minutes for our food. Had to wait for the other half of my order after my first plate was delivered. The waited was nice enough. I was just disappointed in the whole experience.

Nice place. Prices are reasonable. Good service.
Lyric made a nice vodka cran. The stuffed sol was good. The snow crab sizzling plate was good, but all the seafood was undersized. Tiny, tiny littleneck clams. For $50, I would've liked a few more clams on the plate. Crab legs were small too, but delicious. The clam chowder in the bread bowl was the best!
By the time we left, the entire dining room was packed!
We'd come back again. Nice vibe and people.
