I'm a bit disappointed with the new owners of Lil Pantry. I went in and got some money out of the ATM today and then walked up to the counter to exchange one of the $20s for two $10s and I was told that they don't do that. I explained that I just got the 20 out of their ATM. They still wouldnt do it. The store charges a $3 atm fee so it's not like I wasn't spending any money in the store. The clerk saw me getting money out because they had no other customers in the store and she was just standing at the counter. I shop at this store regularly and have for over 35 years or so. I've spent alot of money over the years in this store buying smokes and food. They have a machine right behind the cashier that they use to break $100 bills that customers are using for purchaces and to count change if someone brings in a bunch of change to pay for their purchases. I found it extremely inconsiderate that my simple request as a customer was denied. I do realize that I could've purchased something in order to get change but it's just the point. So I left and stopped by Sam's Market and Deli on my way home and they had no problem breaking my $20. Lil Pantry unfortunately lost a regular customer over this and they will most likely lose many more. Unless I'm absolutely desperate I will not be spending my money at this franchise again. I will be telling my family and friends about this.

I have been coming to this lil pantry location since 1998, passing through a couple different owners hands now. I walked into the place last week to grab a quick snack from there hot case, I had gotten gross dried out gas station food, the place was filthy like it hadn’t been cleaned in a week, I was very disappointed. This place used to be a small treasure in Merlin, now republic services should probably buy it, it’s a dump!

They recently added a bunch of new items to their refrigerated and frozen section behind the check out area. Lots of really, really good stuff now. Sliced cheese, lunch meat, hummus, Greek yogurt, Boston Market frozen entrees, Amy's frozen entrees and much more. They also added items to their grocery section. Great to have these options in lil ole' Merlin now.

I was staying at a camp nearby while helping to fight the Rum Creek Fire. During the first three weeks, we visited Lil' Pantry a half a dozen times, and each experience was great. They have surprisingly good pre-made and fresh food, their coffee is better than fire camp coffee (though pretty bad compared to real coffee), and the people working there were all polite to me.The final week I was in town, camp was closed down and I was looking for somewhere to park my truck during the days. I asked a manager and she unhesitantly gave me permission to park in the employee area.I'll definitely visit here again when I'm passing through town.
It was a interesting visit, the store was fine but when we went to walk back to our car there was a pack of tweakers circling our car and we found out they were waiting for us to come back to the car to ask us for money, my wife was really startled by the whole thing so I don't think we will be stopping there again during our next trip through town.

BARGAIN !!! I was able to buy a soggy overpriced sandwich, warm flat beer with a dented and dirty can, and some METH from the cashier.!!!! Never change Merlin
