The best wine I will ever have had the pleasure to drink. Bionic Frog = worth every penny
The farm that the Cayuse Vineyards sits on used to be owned by my grandparents Joe and Eunice Waliser. I don't remember when they purchased it, I only remember growing up picking the fruit from the apple and cherry trees and tagging along behind my uncles who were a decade older than me. We drove past the property a little over a year ago and I can't believe that the house is still there; however, the landscape has changed dramatically. It's great to see that this land, that I grew up on, is being recognized and valued through the art and science of wine making.
Always a great release event, been too long since it was an event in 2019. Yeah 2023!
Hands down my favorite winery!
I’m not sure how much this review will benefit the masses as one can only get this once-a-year invite if you happen to be on their exclusive mailing list or a guest of one of the members. So perhaps this will merely serve for you to immediately get on their roughly decade long waitlist!
Christophe Baron’s Cayuse Vineyards is the reference point of the Walla Walla Valley and creates the most sought after wines hailing from this iconic region. Oddly enough, while the majority of vineyards are planted in Washington State, Baron’s acclaimed vines are planted to the south in the Rocks of Milton-Freewater in Oregon.
Baron’s gift lies with his deft hand in working with Syrah, however, he wields his magic wand over many other varietals as well, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Grenache. Cayuse is a very special place and Christophe Baron is, without question, atop the firmament of Walla Walla winemakers.
Stop reading this, go Google Cayuse Vineyards, and get on the waitlist without delay. A/A+
If you're able to visit, you've made it into the most exclusive wine clubs in Washington and will be in awe of this place. Congrats!
Just LOVE Cayuse!
Here for the annual wine release. Awesome food, wine and atmosphere
