I wouldn't normally comment on this because we all have off days and trust me, I know sometimes dealing with the public can be taxing but I've been in three times and all three times it the same middle aged hostess who always seems to be in a crap mood, like she's mad that they are busy. It throws off the whole vibe when the first interaction you have with a place is with someone who seems to have no business being customer facing.

Besides that, this is a great place to enjoy a great meal and beer.

Loved our visit to pFriem last night. The atmosphere was lively even on a Wednesday night but not too loud. The beer was great, I especially liked the passionfruit hazy. The food was one of the best I've had at a Portland area brewery. We enjoyed the apple bleu cheese salad, the wings and the brat plate. So nice finding a brewery with an in house kitchen that serves more variety than sandwiches or pizza. We will definitely be back.

Excellent service, very friendly and attentive. Location is great and the building with all the art/history is unique, it looks very well designed and is comfortable. Beers fine, definitely not bad. Will absolutely try some of their wide selection. Wife and I didn't really care for our food, but it looked great. The brussel sprouts with the lime aioli didn't hit for me. The pimento burger was good but the bun was a bit cakey. Fries were tasty. Price mid/high but pretty standard for the Portland area.

Would definitely give it another try some time.

Our family of eight, including two small children, visited Pfriem Brewery and were told the wait would be around 30 minutes. After waiting over an hour, no one checked in with us or gave any updates. The lack of communication and care from the staff was really disappointing. We ultimately had to leave without being seated due to it being almost 8pm and no one could give us an estimate on when we would be able to sat. It’s unfortunate, as we were looking forward to dining there, but the experience made us feel like customer satisfaction wasn’t a priority.

The vibe here is awesome. Everyone is relaxed and chill. I'd highly recommend this place! Beer is great!

I had planned to celebrate my birthday here because of the great reviews, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We arrived around 6:50 PM without a reservation (since the restaurant doesn’t take them) and were told the wait for a party of eight, including two young children, would be about 30–45 minutes. That seemed reasonable, so we decided to wait.

As time went on, the hostess made no effort to update us or check if anything could be done to accommodate us sooner. Meanwhile, we saw several smaller parties of four and five being seated ahead of us. When we checked in again at 7:45 PM, we were given no clear estimate—just told to keep waiting.

By 7:50 PM, after waiting over an hour, I noticed several tables that could have been pushed together to seat our group, but the staff didn’t seem willing to make any effort to help. What should have been a special birthday dinner turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience.

I’ve loved Phreim through the years - a diehard fan of their brews. Though, lately, they’ve done a terrible job of staffing their new Milwaukie location. Patio server and bar-back Christopher has been the most disrespectful server I've had in years (and I don’t normally feel this way). His cluelessly-assumptive and discriminatory communication style has become overwhelming for my family - now will keep me away from this location.

The food and drinks here are absolutely delicious! The attention taken to the seasonings in the food, the menu choices, and the lovely subtleties of the cocktails are far above average. What a delightful pub/brewery. I’d definitely recommend the brewery with no hesitation and hope to be back.

Really well decorated cool space with a great layout. The food is great but over priced for the area and overall trying too hard to be fancy (they don't have ranch dressing they have garlic aloli) which is fine. The acoustics of the main room (where the bar is) are the worst I've ever experienced. It's extremely difficult to even have a conversation it's so loud in there. Needs major improvement. Drinks are excessively overpriced ($14 for a margarita that is not even hand crafted or made with fresh fruit or anything special that came from a keg). Call me cheap but it's a brewery so I don't think a dinner for two should exceed $130 with only a drink or two a appetizer and a meal. Good luck Milwaukie

Service is super spotty here. Depending on when you come you have to chase someone down for seating or service.

Free parking lot behind and across the street. Service and food was decent. Very pricey.
