food was not that great, very plain and you could tell the meat was cooked a day or 2 before being served

their teriyaki chicken and noodles are great and fair priced! I've been coming here since I was a kid and I'm still pleased. could use a cleanup, and they took down their train a couple years back because it fell off. hope they bring some life back into it, they have great food

Husband was in town and I had pick up some food and it was the worst experience. Super long lunch line and got our orders wrong. He asked for a hot and spicy chicken with sweet cabbage and they gave him plain chicken and a cooked cabbage salad I didn’t know they had. Chicken was also on the dryer side. Seems like employees need to pay more attention to what they’re serving and how they’re cooking the food. Very disappointing due to us living in Salem and not wanting to go back to have our order fixed.

Really disappointed! The noodles were mush and over saturated with sauce, the chicken and beef were extremely over cooked. The meal was inedible, unfortunately, I threw it away.

Anyone giving less than 5 Stars is crazy. Yang's is an institution and is spoke about with joy and nostalgia by alumni for years. It's a 5 Star, family owned wonderful restaurant.

So I’m not sure if you hired new workers or someone isn’t happy at there job anymore. But today I was told I couldn’t get more then 2 extra sauces on my $20 order, that has never happened to me here. After offering to pay for more I was told that’s not an option “we don’t sell sauces”. I normally spend upwards of $100 to $200 per month here, That will be changing. I Will instead drive to love love teriyaki in Salem. This happened around 7:00 pm 7/15/24.

Simple food, but amazing taste. Very fast and polite staff. There is a reason I have eaten Yangs monthly for over 10 years.

Really confused by all the great reviews. The very little chicken I received was dry and a bit tough. The noodles were absolutely disgusting. Took all the mushy cabbage off and it still didn’t help it. The flavor was lacking and not good. Rice was rice. Not much to mess up there. Wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.

This place is a nondescript place near the campus of Western Oregon, but the food is outstanding and the staff are very friendly and the service is fast. The portion sizes are very generous and so the value paid for the food you eat is terrific. I live in South Salem and I drive here just for the food.
Parking: If you can't find a spot to park on the street, there's a little lot behind the restaurant.

I'm not sure how this place has good ratings. I'm a fair person, but im hoping to help someone else that may experience thinking it will be good and spend your money to be disappointed. I got beef and chicken and the beef was so hard I didn't want to chew it. Cheap cut of meat and was so tough. Cabbage was mush. Didn't look like cabbage. My daughter had yakisoba chicken. The noodles were overcooked, and the sauce didn't taste good.

Best spot in town for a quick and affordable weekday lunch or dinner. A large serves 3 people easily or you have leftovers for days! My family loves this spot.
