Food tasted good, but felt overpriced. $12 for my plain sausage on a bun and another $5 for fries felt like a lot. Add a drink and tip, and you're well over $20. I will probably be back for buying frozen sausages to take home, though. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the tables outside were nice.
If you are looking for one of the few places where you can find some good quality German food left in Oregon this is the place. Fresh food served with friendliness. Not a huge menu but good. And to boot a nice grocery area where you can take all kinds of food home including the famous Mt. Angel Octoberfest Sausages. They sell their menu items frozen in family sizes for you to take home and put in your freezer for another time. They also have a separate area for dining and consuming...read full review

Had a great visit to Mount Angel, and part of the reason was this place. I had the Jagerschnitzel and it was fantastic. They have excellent beer too. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in Mt. Angel.
