Great place to try some Oregon wine and have some really good pizza. Live music today too really added to the vibe.

I’m hoping we just caught the host/server on a bad day - we hadn’t been before and were in the area for the day and stopped in to ask if they were taking walk in tastings and the first thing we were greeted with before we could even ask anything was being looked up and down and condescendingly asked “so I take it you don’t have reservations”, then my older mother in law was suggested it’s “definitely time to start learning online booking for tastings in the future”. The whole vineyard was super pretty, the food smelled great, and the vibes seemed good all around otherwise, so we’d be open to going back to try again some day but being on the receiving end of someone else’s bad mood wasn’t the most welcoming start to our mt hood day trip…

Tried a wine flight and enjoyed them all! Also had the cheese board and pear pizza - amazing!

Great spot for wine and pizza. Worth the drive to get away from town, and see a beautiful view of Mount Hood.

PHENOMENAL pizza and beer! Beautiful view, no matter the weather or season. We had the Pear Gorgonzola pizza and it was one of the best pizzas we’ve had: “chewy yet holds it’s shape” pizza crust with the incredible flavor in toppings. The IPA and oatmeal stout were swell. The rose is a must if you like wine. Can’t beat the view and the gardens. Every time I’m in the area, it’s a top stop!

Wonderful family owned farm and business! Loved their wood-fired pizza, fresh apples and dahlias.

Rude staff, unfriendly. Told us pizza would take 20-30 mins and waited over an hour. People who came after us got their pizza and we didn't. My husband had to complain twice. No apologies no nothing.

For a vineyard they had a strangely low number of wine options and quite a few beer options, but no matter the reason to come here is definitely the view of Mt. Hood. The wine was fine and I am sure my boyfriend liked the beer. Confusing set up with the indoor vs outdoor situation too and like the porta potties were gross. Don't come here if you want a fancy place to drink wine (read: plastic cups). Do come here if you want to just hang out with your friends and drink and look at the mountain. Definitely family friendly too with a playground.

We've been coming to Mt View Orchards for about 7 years. It is our favorite place in the fruit loop. We've loved seeing them grow and expand over the years. We follow their Instagram closely and have been eyeing their pizzas. So we came up from Beaverton today specifically for their pizza. The line was long, but it didn't take too long to order. We were surprised, however, to learn you can't just buy pizza. You MUST buy alcohol or soda to have the privilege of buying a pizza. We don't day drink very often and don't really drink soda. So we had to order two root beers and toss one of them. Such a waste! We got the pear pizza, and it was really tasty, but it was overshadowed by the stupidity of having to order beverages. We won't order food from there again. It soured our experience. We'll be back for our annual cherry picking, but not for their food.

Cute place. Beautiful views of Mt Hood. I’m not from the area and was looking for a winery that served food. I noticed most didnt outside of cheese boards. Found this place and walked right in on a Tuesday. Had a great time with my husband.

Nice setting with ridiculous rules. This vineyard/cidery/brewery experience is a nice laid back environment with excellent views of Mt Hood. The pizza was pretty good and the beer was mediocre but passable. Service left something to be desiredThere are 2 service areas: the tasting room with adjacent reservation only patio or the lawn where there are shaded tables. If you have a reservation, you can get a sampling of foods with your wine tasting. If you don't have a reservation and sit in the walkup area, you are limited to beer and cider and can only order pizzas (no salad or charcuterie), and you HAVE to order 2 drinks in order to receive the ability to buy a pizza (??). Firstly, the kid manning the drink cart outside clearly had no interest in doing anything beyond the bare minimum that his position required. We had members of our group who are gluten free so I then inquired inside the half empty tasting room about ordering a salad. Of the two teens I spoke to inside, neither could tell me why this was. Ok, fine, not their policy and I'm sure the owners have their reasons. But here's the thing: I have worked in food service. There are often rules that stipulate purchase of food to get alcohol or the like. But never have I been required to buy alcohol in order to get food and I can see absolutely no reason other than trying to push tasting room sales to have such a limited menu for walk-ups. The person I asked about it simply said that there was no way they could accommodate the sale of a salad to someone without a reservation. To add injury to insult, come to find out that the same pizzas ordered in the reservation area come with additional toppings which is just a wild decision to me. So if you order the pear pizza inside it comes with arugula and bacon but outside you just get cheese pears and balsamic. Like, what reason do you have to make the fare visibly different to the people without reservations? Incredibly asinine in my opinion. This unfortunately soured me on the rest of the experience. I think as long as you go into the experience knowing what to expect you'll have a fine time; I was just annoyed and disappointed with their seemingly nonsensical rules. I probably wouldn't recommend it with other options in the area.

The website says you have to contact them for reservations if your group is larger than 6. I have 8 people visiting from another state and really wanted to experience this winery. Over the last week I have left 2 voicemails, left a typed message through their website and sent a separate email with no one responding to me. They say they only return phone calls an hour before they open? What about emails and website inquiries? I guess we will have to look elsewhere.

What a view! What’s there to say? It was one of the best views of our entire trip to the Columbia Valley. It was unseasonably warm during our visit, but you couldn’t tell from the sipping seats at Grateful. The salad and pizza paired well with our wine tasting and the beer was fresh & cold. The service was wonderful, the staff were friendly, and the kitchen staff were great to speak with - that oven gets HOT!We highly recommend this vineyard and hope to return soon!

Want an unobstructed view of Mt. Hood? This is the place! Heads up - MAKE A RESERVATION! They don’t accommodate walk ins and the other option is to get a beer on tap and the only food option is pizza at the cart. Also- very little shade. Ample seating but only a few tables under the shade. They had live music which was a great plus! You can walk the vineyard and there’s a sunflower field right next to it.
