Revising my review as the chefs are trying to make things better, the meals have been drastically improved over the past week and since this unfortunate review I posted about how thing were in Fall 2024. Hopefully this trend continues! New pic from dinner last night - chicken over rice, corn dog, curly fried and a cupcake.

My daughter is a current student and she is having a very hard time eating at the cafeteria. The food is rarely edible and some of the practices are unsanitary. Given what I pay in tuition I would not expect this. I have provided the feedback but no improvement so had to post an honest review as these glowing reviews are just not accurate.

It's a pretty standard college cafeteria. Food isn't amazing but you can always just get pizza or a sandwich.

It's okay. Nothing special. They serve the same food (except for a special) everyday. The kids complain that there is no variety. The Bruin Den, Canyon Commons and Brin Bites is all operated by the same restaurant so unless the students go off of camus there is no real option or variety.

Kinda boring food choices

Taken into the context that this is a cafeteria, the food far exceeds the expectations. They have an absolute ton of food options, they buy from local farmers, they are actively trying to reduce waste as much as possible, there's even a subcommittee in student government devoted to improving services there. Sure, it's not really perfect, but for a cafeteria serving thousands of students, it is by far the best I've ever seen or heard off. Did I mention they are still finding ways to improve?
