We've been on the hunt for a "favorite" Mexican restaurant since moving into the area five years ago. Ixtapa has been our favorite so far! Very friendly service, great salsa, big portions served hot. The interior seemed friendly and inviting. I liked how they had decorated for Christmas. Not sure why it's so hard to find good Mexican food in the PDX area but it's been disappointing. At least Ixtapa is someplace we can go to know we'll get some solid, tasty food.

Came in hungry, left stuffed. Can not express how fast they delivered chips and salsa to our table. Highly recommend coming here with any size of party (we had 6) and they will still deliver fast customer service.

The chips and salsa were super fresh and delicious. The mole enchiladas were tops and the chili con queso was just fabulous. Great margaritas too.Prompt service, friendly, warm atmosphere and fantastic food. I eill be a regular.

The best Mexican restaurant in Newberg. The only place I've ever been to that takes the seeds out of their chile relleno ... I love that! Quick service. You're in and in no time if you're in a rush. Reasonable prices.

The food was very good and authentic Mexican food. The queso was actually melted cheese with peppers and onions in it, not the more Americanized white queso dip. We both had chimichangas and they were delicious. Prices were great, especially for the area.

This was our son's 'go-to' Mexican restaurant when he lived in Oregon 30 years ago. When my wife and I came for a visit one time, he took us here for dinner and we enjoyed it very much. On a recent trip back to the area, our fond memories of Ixtapa were rewarded by finding them still in business, still serving great Mexican food, still providing great service in a pleasant, friendly environment, at reasonable prices. Nice to see something good in this world, very good actually, that hasn't changed in these many years! Highly recommend Ixtapa in Newberg, Oregon!
