I have not written a review in a very long time. Although, after visiting La Gran Victoria I had to take a moment to share my thoughts. Both of my parents are from Michoacan, Mexico. Growing up I would be spoiled with traditional dishes daily. In addition to this my uncle would make the BEST al pastor, tripa, and carne asada tacos I'd ever had. Since moving away from home I haven't found anything throughout California or Oregon that was even remotely comparable to what I had growing up... until now.La Gran Victoria is it. My white whale. I genuinely can't believe I found food this good coming out of a truck in Newberg. The food was beyond delicious. It was made so fresh we could hear the meal being prepared from outside of the truck. It also came out pretty quick. Four tacos (two of which were tripa), two massive chile rellenos, rice, beans, half a liter of coke, and dessert for less than 40$. Phenomenal. When I was done with my meal I took a moment to thank Victoria, the woman who owns the truck, for the meal. We began to talk and she told me her story of selling tamales to save up for her truck, making meals with carpal tunnel syndrome so she can sustain her business, and the struggles she faces being monolingual Spanish, running her business, and supporting her family. All of these obstacles worth it because she gets to make and share the food she loves so much. Her passion showed through the food. Although the truck has seen better days what comes out of it is near perfect.I will be going back... a lot. Whether I'm missing home, or need a hangover cure after a long Saturday, I will be there all the time. I would highly suggest anyone check it out and give the staff lots of leniency and love.

Most flavorful burrito and tamales we've had in a long time! SO GOOD, meat is juicy, will be back whenever we come back through town.

This place is our go-to. Everyone needs to get the gorditas asap. Honestly, people in reviews are complaining about customer service, but they are so friendly and remember our order at this point. I don't normally review, but saw they only had 3.9 and they absolutely deserve higher!

food was pretty good,, but usually when i eat a chile relleno the cheese is melty but here it was solid as block of cheese, still it deserves 3 stars for taste and presentation

This food cart in Downton Newberg looked like it had some good Mexican food. There were a few other food carts around and I went to order from this one. Unfortunately, I was trying to order and there was a communication breakdown between my English and their Spanish. I tried pointing to the stuff on the side of the cart but alas, nothing was conveyed. I ended up going to the seafood cart across the way. As I was waiting for my food from the other cart, the woman from La Gran Victoria brought some food over too me. I think she sensed my frustration and calmed me down with food (it's like she knew me... lol) The birria taco she brought was crispy and delicious, as was the side of beans. I wish I would have ordered everything from here and if they had someone that could communicate with the patrons, they may have some more sales and better reviews. Anyway, what started out as a frustrating experience was turned into a beautiful gesture from this woman. I appreciated it very much.

Ordered a chicken burrito and it was good. Pretty normal. Nothing fancy. Not huge or small, just normal. Red and green salsas were good.

Horrible customer service! The lady seemed bothered that we were ordering food. She was pushy, I decided to cancel my order. This place doesn't deserve my patronage. Never going back to that dump!

Super tasty tamales! The right proportion of filling to masa and the masa itself is seasoned and flavorful. I can't wait to try the other dishes. This is superb!
