The couple who run this place are very friendly. I love the variety of goodies they have for us gluten-free folks. This is not a.dedicated.bakery, but my celiac did not kick in upon sugar--fluff consumption.

I called ahead and requested some things held as we don't live far, as the bird flies, but traffic males it a ninety, plus minute drive.
We requested 2 scones, 2 chocolate crossiants, a huge cinnamon roll, 2 bearclaws, and a piece of German chocolate cake
We agreed the crossiants were too sweet for us, but they are on par with the majority of what.ppl like for sweetness...think cupcake level. The cake had very sweet frosting but was a tad.dry. The cinnamon roll was also on the dry side, but that.may be.personal taste.
The bearclaws were phenomenal!! We agree the drive was worth it for those alone. They were perfectly flaky, with a perfect subtle sweet filling. The blueberry scones were also flaky, moist, and delicious.
The prices are also very affordable and reasonable. They have a rewards program as well, and my purchase of just over forty means I get a free goodie on my next trip.

If you live within a two hour drive and eat gluten-free, make the drive! Just be aware they close at noon on Wed and are only open Wed through Sunday, closing early afternoon the last three days, as most bakeries do.

There is free, two-hour parking right in front, along the street.

We have used Lucky Dutch as our go to bakery for many years. They offer a wide variety of goods and will bake custom orders. The staff is very friendly and skilled. Casey is awesome at coming up with new ideas and suggestions. Angela is an amazing cake decorator. Marilyn bakes amazing Dutch Apple Pies, and I often see Mike on the road making deliveries.Their contribution to the community has been tremendous. The value they bring in offering GF, DF has made me feel a lot more included since I was diagnosed with so many allergies. We are "lucky" to have them in the community.

Dietary restrictions: Offers wheat free and dairy free options. Highly knowledgeable about their ingredients.

Parking: Avoid parking in front of the theater if at all possible.

Kid-friendliness: The display cases are low enough for a 7 to 8 year old to look at.

Wheelchair accessibility: May need help from a caregiver or staff. The City of Newberg has ramps on most downtown sidewalks.

We got there right as they opened and it smelled amazing. We got a cheese Danish right out of the oven. So, so good. Great prices, great selection.

Driving through on a road trip and the bakery sign caught my eye and my Jedi powers told me to stop. Turned out they were right one more time. This place will be on my list whenever i make a pilgrimage through this town.

I ordered one of their custom pies (marionberry) in the morning and it was out of the oven by early afternoon. The pie was the real deal -- beautiful golden-brown lattice crust, full of ripe fruit (none of that gooey stuff you get in your typical store-bought pie), and a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. This was the kind of pie that would win a blue ribbon at the country fair. Highly recommended!

Holy cow! I could eat their gluten free bear claws every day- they are my favorite. Their gluten free Bismark's are an indulgent delight. Their gluten free chocolate croissants - so good. Their plain gluten free croissants - also so good! I don't care where you're at - call ahead, have them set some pastries aside for you - and make the drive. You won't regret it. I've had some great gluten free cakes and cookies and such at other bakeries - but none of them can hold a candle to Luckee Dutch's pastries. The only thing that would make them better is if they had an entire wall dedicated to even more variety of pastries. Though my waistband and wallet appreciate things as they are ?

Very friendly staff and the salted caramel brownie I had was delicious! Didn't look like the space is dedicated gluten free, but all of the gluten free items were well separated from the gluten containing items
