Great restaurant, wonderful service, and delightful food. The atmosphere is super cabin cozy. The food is great, good proportions and well served. I especially like the coffee.

I've been to 3 Black Bears and this was the best one. Atmosphere was great. It was Sunday after church and it was very busy so service was not as attentive or fast but food was perfect.

The food is amazing, filling, and yummy! Both times we’ve been in we’ve had Monica as our waitress and she does a wonderful job. We will keep coming back :)
Stopped by for an early lunch. The staff was disorganized and service was very slow. My food arrived on a very warm plate. Sadly, the plate was much warmer than the food on top, which was lukewarm at best.

I came in tonight to pick up a to-go order and was not impressed once I got my food home. It was found that an item was missing from my order and when asked about a refund I was told by the lady on the phone, they have no part in that process. I will not be back unless it's made right.

We had such a wonderful time at Black Bear Diner in Newberg! From the moment we walked in, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Shannon, in particular, was an absolute highlight of our morning – she made us feel right at home with her exceptional service. The food was delicious, and we couldn’t get enough of the huckleberry spritzes – they were fantastic! We’re from out of town, but this place has definitely earned a spot on our list for the next time we’re in town for wine tasting. Stop reading and get on your way to Black Bear!

I believe in giving kudos where kudos is due! We came in on a very busy Sunday afternoon. Just watching the hustle and bustle of the entire staff, you can see that it is a coordinated team effort to keep people fed and happy. I have to give a particular shout out to our waitress Shannon, who we have had the pleasure of being her patrons on multiple occasions. She was moving for the entirety of our hour visit, making sure that we and others had everything we needed. I felt the need to make this review because she’s just awesome and has been every visit, but that it was an exceptionally busy day and the service was still just as great! It’s really hard to find that nowadays to be consistent, but each time we come into Blackbear it’s been awesome treatment in a timely manner despite how busy they are it’s still joyous and pleasant. Thanks so much to you and the team for making our Sunday brunch! Oh and the food is great too!
