Reid was an absolute delight to compliment the lovely wine. Gorgeous view and kind people. Thank you
We're locals from Hillsboro and every few years we use our September anniversary as an excuse to get away from the kids and drink wine in Yamhill county. Every trip is to a different BnB and each day is spent discovering new vineyards.
This most recent trip we were keen on good wine with a view, and got no less than four separate recommendations to visit Penner-Ash. We swung by on a Saturday afternoon as walk-ins but were told they had no availability for tastings. We were offered bottle service but decided to make a reservation for Sunday morning to try again, and boy are we glad we did!
The view from the patio is absolutely amazing! The sommelier was charming and delightful! I'm a sucker for any opportunity to learn and she was an absolute treasure trove of knowledge about wine making, which meshed very well with the structure of our tasting: 3 wines, exactly identical but with different soil? Wow, I have been to dozens of these at other vineyards and never learned as much as I did here.
We will definitely make a point of returning, thanks again for such a wonderful morning!
This was my first time visiting a winery and I had an amazing time! We booked the vineyard tour and tasting experience. Learning about the winery, the grapes, the history of the estate, all of this really elevated the whole experience. Our guide and host was Justine, who did a fantastic job. She was very knowledgeable, kind, and fun to hang out with for the tour. I highly recommend coming here for the tasting and splurge a little for the tour to learn even more! Thanks to Penner Ash, I may be a wine drinker now!
Out of the 6 wineries we visited, this was by far the MOST BEAUTIFUL location. The gardens and grounds are impeccably kept, the buildings are stunning-- modern yet rustic. Daniel took us on a vineyard and facility tour and he was so passionate and knowledgeable, I learned so much about climate and elevation, soil types and production methods.. wow! The wine is phenomenal. This is a must visit.
Beautiful tasting venue, gorgeous wines, amazing staff ❤️
We had a great visit - the wines are amazing and the tasting room is gorgeous. Highly recommend!
We are so glad we decided to visit Penner Ash for my birthday. We had a private tasting hosted by Jessica who was absolutely amazing! Their selection of Pinot Noirs were diverse and unlike anything we have tasted before. Her enthusiasm for the brand and wine was obvious and made the tasting so much more enjoyable. Also, the view from the patio/ garden is stunning. Be sure to add this to your list of places to visit on your wine journey.
Reid is the most incredible host. We had an incredible tasting experience today that was one for the books. Reid was gracious informative and fabulous.
The wines were exceptional, the views were fantastic, but most of all we felt so warm and welcome thanks to our wonderful host Keilah! Her extra friendly demeanor and knowledgeable background was the cherry on top of the whole experience. Highly recommend Penner-Ash (and Keilah). We will definitely be coming back!
Delicious wines, beautiful views, friendly staff. Top of the list winery to visit. Great wine club and events.

This would have been unthinkable a generation ago, but the proof is in the liquid?: Oregon, and the Willamette Valley?️ in particular, have become sources of some of the most exciting, exacting, and terroir-specific? wines in the world.Yet Oregon is home to so much more than just epic Pinot Noir; from white wines crafted from Riesling?, Pinot Gris, and beyond, to sparklers of serious accomplishment, Oregon has evolved into an unlikely superstar in the world of wine. This Chardonnay? is a true expression of the Willamette Valley?
Great wine in a beautiful and majestic venue with amazing and personal customer service.
Aside from the top tier wine, Reid was BY FAR the best host I have had the pleasure of experiencing. His passion, enthusiasm, and charisma elevated our tasting experience. We had a set of wineries to taste following Penner-Ash, and I was disappointed that Reid couldn’t come with us because our time at Penner-Ash was unmatched. I would recommend anyone to visit this tasting room, from folks just starting their wine journey’s, to those who know everything there is to know about wine. Without a doubt, we will be back.
First, thanks to Reed, who was our host, and guided us through the tasting. A wonderful experience. We tasted 3 pinots, simultaneously, same year but from 3 different acreages. THAT was very interesting indeed. Never done that before. Very creative. We ended up with some wine, plus membership in the wine club.Total Score. Thanks Reed.
Stopped in without a reservation on a Thursday afternoon. We were greeted with a glass of rose and a seat near the magnificent fire place. Don't let the drive in fool you, the views from the tasting room are spectacular! We were paired with Alexis for our tasting and boy is she knowledgeable about wine! (check out her certifications! ?) Alexis was super personable a ton of fun and able to dumb down the explanations for us common tasters ?. We had an absolute blast and will be recommending Penner-Ash to friends and family. The Pinot was exceptional and it was just an all around positive experience. Can't wait to come back! Oh, and there are both J1772 and Tesla NACS electric car chargers on site for guests ?⚡️??
