Syndicate Wine Bar- Newberg

It was an awesome place but they have closed permanently. Website says they are only open for events and tastings but they have been removing stuff from inside and have taken down their outdoor seating. Hopefully who ever comes in next has good drinks and good food.

I started my Saturday errands and exploring with my Syndicate brunch. The coffee was delicious and the breakfast with pockets aka waffle was scrumptious. I decimated it. Thank you ❤️ so much for helping me get my day started right.

Syndicate knocked it out of the park tonight! As a gluten free customer, I am thoroughly impressed at their menu selections! I usually have a difficult time finding options, but we were able to not only have a wide range of selections, but we were also not charged extra for ordering gluten free items! I ordered the Ham and Brie Panini with a glass of Willamette Valley Pinot Blanc. It was delicious! Perfect comfort food for fall, and the wine complemented the food wonder. I highly recommend Syndicate. They have a Wide variety of salads, small plates, charcuterie and paninis. The service is friendly and spectacular wine as well.

Great tasting room! So friendly and welcoming. Roger was great, lots of recommendations. The wines we tasted were terrific, from Oregon, Washington, and Spain. Definitely recommend a visit while in Newburg.

New wine, beer and pizza bar. Great place in many ways - nice wine and beer selection, friendly staff, outstanding pizza from 48 North Pizzeria (in the same place). Nice atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Not a big selection of wine but what they had was delicious. Atmosphere was 9.0 out of 10.0 . Made for groups of close friends but also great for couples.

Full disclosure I'm a wine and beer server at Syndicate. I can't say enough about how awesome this place is. I have awesome co-workers. Angela and David are the best bosses I've ever had. I'm proud of Syndicate and what we've accomplished and how bright our future looks. We strive to be the best bring laughter and joy to each other and our customers. I feel I can give us a 5 star review because I go in the bar when I'm not at work. When you work at a place and still want to go there on your days off I think that says a lot. I've attached a pic of me and my work buddy Roger. We typically work the evening shifts Thursday-Saturday.

Great pizza. Great wine selection. Awesome vegan options. Totally shocked when we all got charged a cover charge for the music. I just wanted food and wine and had no idea that music was part of the program. We would have gone next door for sushi if someone let us know. I have never been in a place that charged a cover that wasn’t handled at the door coming in to the place. What had been a good dinner was totally spoiled because we all felt deceived. I saw a review on Google complaining about the same thing that the owner replied to. It said there were signs somewhere and people could choose if they wanted to stay. Three of us saw no signs and were surprised when we got our bills. The owner also said they hoped the person that gave the review thought the music was worth $5. I found no value in having someone singing while we were having conversations and watching sports on the television. Great place to go if they lose the music and/or the cover charge. Unfortunately, I will choose not to go back. Cheers!

Service was good. Wine and beer selection were acceptable, but the pizza was unacceptable. Outside edges were burned to solid black charcoal while 2/3 of the center was literally soggy. Ingredients seemed to be good quality, so that alone prevented me from sending it back. Pizza is the only thing on the menu, so I expected something better.

First, I don't post frequently (seriously, where is my password?), but when something is so amazing, I'll look for the darn thing cuz I want other people to find out about it. That's Syndicate! Here's what I love. Wine Bar ... in Newberg... not a tasting room, a wine bar - so right! But not a ho-hum, wine bar. They have wines from Italy, bubbles, too - yes, they have the CA whites, but a good selection. CA reds too. Of course, Oregon wines, nice selection. Prices don't gouge. Ask Roger - I just met him - he was like 'let me see what else I have' and found a few gems for me in cool side cabinet. Ben's the chef - salt of the Yamhill Earth - his Dad's in town, down the Dundee way, he decided to come back and help out family our and I am so glad he did! Wow, does he know his way around some spices and pizza crust! My pizza was the best I've had in Newberg - did I mention I live here? Crust is fluffy and thin(- er, and did I say 'fluffy' - oh yeah) that marinara sauce has something in it that's divine! I wanted a sprinkle of pesto on my pizza and he actually came out and asked what I wanted and then delivered! Holy Wine Bar! I almost passed this place up, but thought, nah, I gotta see what's going on here. SO glad I did. To my Newberg neighbors, let's keep this place our little fabulous secret. :) Enjoy.

Our friends have been here 3 times and wanted to share this new place with us. They have live music, good wines and beer, pizza and many vegetarian choices too. The staff was friendly and the food was good, though we were quite disappointed to be charged $5 per person for cover coverage. Our friends have never been charged previously. To find out later this charge was posted but I don't know how many people actually read the sandwich boards or a sign posted on the door of a restaurant before they go in. Not sure if we will be back any time soon. Our friends said the same thing.

Had a really great experience! They took really good care of us and they were very informative and friendly. We will be regulars!

Amazing pizza, great wine bar, wonderful staff and live music. You don't find that often Newberg. This place is a must.But seriously the pizza
