Hidden Gem. We were told about Arr Place from a local who gave us a few recommendations. We had the delicious homemade hash, perfect eggs, bloody Marys and a tiramisu that left me craving more. The special waffle that my husband had served with homemade ice cream was a life changer. Now he can't have a waffle any other way.

One of the most fantastic restaurants I’ve ever been to! From the perfectly brewed French press coffee to the bold Bloody Mary, every detail is on point. The huevos rancheros were absolutely delicious, and the owners? Total vibe—so sweet and welcoming. You won’t regret coming here

Arr Place is the greatest little hidden gem of Newport! It took years for me to even hear about it! Since then, we’ve been a few times and enjoyed the food and atmosphere each time. What a beautiful place to enjoy a meal and take your time. 🍳🥞☕️

Food was delicious!! Chatting with the owner is nice and it’s almost like you’ve been invited to their house for breakfast or brunch.

This must be a top 10 breakfast/brunch spot in America. Everything is scratch made, and done incredibly well. Small menu, straightforward options but they’ve been perfected.
They focus on sweet options - “Life is short, begin with dessert” - but plenty of savory staples like corned beef hash, eggs Benedict, even ribs. You won’t leave hungry.
What’s best is 60%+ of patrons are locals and chatting with each other & the wonderfully charming hosts/owners.
One of the best places in Newport.

Quirky little hole in the wall, at a family friend’s/uncle’s/grammas, casual, hideaway beach house (from the ‘70-80’s) vibe. This couple really has cultivated a little piece of heaven in the most simple and purest of ways. They invite you into their home, take their time and give you their undivided attention to make it an experience. The food is delicious (and speaks for itself), large portioned, organic, home cooked, with a seasonal market approach (we had a wild caught , albino slice of salmon on our benny, along with the seasonal mushrooms, broccolini and fresh tomatoes in our scramble). Their mantra of ‘dessert first’ is endearing (they even have something special for keto, sugar free, gluten free, if that’s your ideal dessert first!) and calls you to celebrate that moment for all that it is.
Enjoy!

Newport has a lot of great breakfast options, but this one is something really special...I feel like saying more would ruin the experience for a first timer.
Whenever I walk into a diner, Arr Place is what I wish it was like - like you're being welcomed in by old friends. The atmosphere is casual, the food is fantastic, and the owners are wonderfully warm.
Fun fact - a waffle with cinnamon ice cream and syrup tastes like cinnamon toast crunch. But better.
Menu prices are a bit higher than you'd expect from a typical dine, but this isn't a typical diner - it's more than worth it.

Great food at a GREAT BIG PRICE. Bring a pocket full of cash as they only accept cash.
Unique breakfast experience
Perhaps the best breakfast place in the United States. The hollandaise is to die for. Eat here as often as you possibly can.
Let me start by saying the food was good. Orange juice was great. We came in and had a seat right away although there's only seating for about 16 people if that. It's definitely a ma and pop kind of place, seems to be a favorite for the locals as they all knew eachother. There is only 1 cook so there is a little wait. No biggie though because it's a nice environment and friendly.
The downside to this place is the cost..
Very tiny glass of OJ is 7 bucks. Lemonade was 8 bucks.
An egg scramble mix with a biscuit was 24.
Overall for me and my teenage son our breakfast ended up being over 100 bucks I was a bit astonished. He had some Oj to go and at the table and I guess I was unaware that each little glass was 7 bucks, plus the lemonade that adds up! Most expensive breakfast ever.
Other than that this place was nice it brought back memories of being at my grandparents cabin at the lake :)
what a wonderful place to have breakfast! Great service and awesome food! highly recommend!
