I. LOVED. IT. ALL...food, service, ambiance. I consume a lot of ramen and the ramen here is the best I've had in Oregon. To each their own opinion & palet of course BUT they use quality ingredients and the chef really knows what up with food and the kitchen. (real life foodie here!) Cocktails slapped too! All the compliments Asiatico. Keep serving up delicious greatness!

Excellent sushi. what a hidden gem. Anyone visiting the Newport Area down on the wharf should stop in and check it out. This is a fantastic sushi place. During the summer, you can enjoy sitting out on the dock. The perfect place to watch the ships come in and view the historic Newport bridge and sunset.

The Rice suprisingly did not taste seasoned. The waitress young eager unpolished & inexperienced. Outdoor seating super windy & can take napkins to the sea. A few rocks on every table might reduce incidental pollution. Highly recommend Asiatico's wide Sake selection.?. Friendly polite and worth the penny.

This place is wonderful. The waterfront view from the windows is beautiful, especially for such a hidden gem. The music they were playing was lounge covers of common pop and rock songs. It was a fun talking point as we waited for our food. The menu was almost overwhelming with all the options available. We shared deliciously spiced edamame as an appetizer. I have never had anything like it, as most edamame is merely salted.I ate a poke bowl, and I think I will dream of it for weeks. The poke was presented as shredded tuna mixed with seaweed and spices, atop rice with cucumber salad and cabbage. Every bite of this meal was pure happiness, and was the highlight of my new years day.I ate a dessert unlisted on the menu: Lava cake. It was delicious, though probably should be served with ice cream. The service was good, but I think they may be understaffed. I felt that my waiter was doing the best he could, although he wasn't available consistently. I don't think it was his fault, because I could see how busy he was the entire time.Vegetarian options: I feel there could be substitutions made, though I don't remember there being many options.

My partner and I are huge sushi enthusiasts and we’re excited to try this place in Newport. We both have been the most violently ill since eating here. We had the Oyster’s, Stuffed Jalapeños Peppers, the Sugar Mama, Spicy Yellowtail and another Salmon roll. This all tasted fine at the time, but within the next hour we began what has been the most painful and disgusting 24 hours for our bodies. We didn’t sleep more than 2 hours last night, and basically had to take turns at the toilet. The sushi was the only thing we ate yesterday besides a muffin in the morning and we’ve never gotten so sick after eating at a place. Never again. I wish we could get refunded for the pain it’s caused. We love supporting small businesses but unfortunately something was not properly cared for before it was served to us.

Food was great, but their bento box is $10 more expensive than the nice Asian fusion restaurant right down the street . Chef Jay at Cuisinako can give you better quality for less.

Cannot say enough about Asiatico! Hubby and I went there as a Christmas treat for our granddaughter and her partner (who is Asian and prefers Asian food - not a meat eater) We were just blown away by the everything we chose. And we really pigged out..we were all over the menu..Ramen with fried tofu, miso soup, Teppanyaki Oysters, uber-fresh salads with a killer satay dressing, an OMG Bento Box with calamari on skewers, Tia Maria Roll, Spicy Edamame, Smokey Roll, etc, etc, etc! The fish was top drawer and fresh, the rolls were giant - each more than a mouthful - and the service outside on a very cold and dreary day (our choice - we had Doggy with us) was made cozy, warm and friendly by our Server and Owner, Garvi! Garvi stinted on nothing - presentation, portions and quality...Prices more moderate than fine dining - yet with the service and food of a fine dining experience. Get thee to Asiatico before the Tourist Season!

We made a point of coming back here on our second trip to the Newport area. Everything we've had is so, so good, but I wasn't prepared for the spicy garlic edamame. We got it to go to snack on later, and the sauce was so good we started dipping random things in it (pizza crust, cheese). It all worked. So we called the restaurant on the way out of town asking to buy some of that sauce. The very cool waiter from the day before hooked us up with a soup container of garlicky deliciousness for a more than fair price (fiancé would have paid way more)Seriously, please bottle and sell this stuff. Also, hi cool waiter: the reason we couldn't get our relationship status straight on the phone was that he proposed that evening. It was an excellent day.
