Was a great place for many years to me, I visit the bay front once a year and this is my go to bar when I visit the bay front. Although recently for my yearly visit I brought a great friend with me that had never been in there. The bartender was pretty insincere with her condescending small talk. “I can, and did get over that.” My friend and I were there for an hour in the late afternoon, unfortunately she left her wallet in the bathroom for maybe 20 minutes and a significant amount of her cash was gone. There were only a few people in there. Point is…it wasn’t nighttime, It was a Monday, It was slow, and daylight. It wasn’t hard to figure out who it was, and I know it is my friends fault for leaving her wallet in the restroom. But 90 % of the people that hang out there are regulars, they are close with bartender and we are out of towners “hour and a half away”. Thank you for welcoming us with such class. Will never go back there, and I will stop suggesting it to family and friends that visit the bayfront.

Visited here 7 months ago. Walked into a full bar of locals. We stood out like a sore thumb. Ordered a drink, and Jenny Jo laughed at me. Clearly, this is a PBR/Hamms kinda place. Tried to order another drink, and it went over a little better, but not by much. By no means am I a classy upscale chick, just some vodka with a decent mixer, nothin fancy. Karaoke was rockin' the house. This is truly how a bar/tavern should be. Chill vibes. Laid back. Virginia and Jenny Jo kept us entertained all evening. You will never know what Jenny will pull out of her pocket or her shirt. 🤣

DO NOT GO HERE. My partner and I are a couple from utah, while walking the pier yesterday waiting for our dinner reservations, we decided to go grab a drink. The older blonde bartender told me she couldn’t accept my ID because it was expired (It was my birthday) until the nice men next to us started to explain your ID doesn’t expire until midnight. She’s agreed and asked us what we wanted, we weren’t aware there weren’t any mixers so after asking if they had a couple drinks the bartender laughed in our faces and walked away and did not take our order. Needless to say horrible experience, would definitely recommend the Barge Inn Tavern! They took us right in with a great attitude and environment!!
