When they said brewing, I thought they were brewing. But no. Just an offering of other places beers on tap. Though the first two we tried to order were out. Which normally wouldn't be an issue, but the one one guy working both the bar and the "food service" didn't discover it until we tried ordering it. We ordered some food. Which he politely and efficiently heated up in the microwave and served to us. Service was great, and the guy there was nothing but nice. But the beer was disappointing, the food was literally re-heated in front of us, and the atmosphere was cold and dull. Would never return.

Great little place. Showed up here on a Friday night as other places around town were closing at 9PM (we came in December). The place was great. You know that ratty hoodie you own that is kind of beat up but isn't? That one that is just super comfy? That's Bier One. We were in the mood for the following: - Play some cribbage (check!) - Get me a dessert beer (check!) - Some place mellow (check!) - Clean & friendly atmosphere (check!) Honestly, not sure if it was because of who was bartending (12/29) but dude was super friendly, music wasn't blaring, and honestly, every town needs a place like this. Anyway, if you are looking for something mellow, check out this place. It's fun, as can be seen by the humor in the t-shirt design : )

Totally dug this place. I tried a couple of their ciders and my husband ordered two different IPAs. This is a public house type of place, serving beer, wine, and ciders sourced from the PNW and NorCal. They also have a cocktail menu. We ordered some pretzel sticks (soft) with cheese and mustard. These were great! We totally dug the ambiance. An "old school" beach feel, their decor is so creative and uniquely designed. I'll definitely be back.

Did not try the food or snacks but it smelled nice, good selections of beer on Tap nice place to chill and enjoy beers with some people. They have games and outdoor seating wich is nice during sunset. They have beers from allover the state here on Tap.

My husband and I are locals who have been regulars at Beir One for over five years, since they were at the old place on 101. We've probably averaged at least once a week. We know all the employees by name. Well, this evening we went in for happy hour and there was a new woman working there. I ordered a Guinness, which she never poured and I asked for a cbd seltzer for my 19-year-old daughter. She immediately became very irate and told us she has to be 21. She said she'd Google it and raised her voice and started shoving her phone in our faces and a coworkers and holding it up for all the customers. She continued to rant and interrupt us until we finally left. We will never be back!!! Planning to switch to Rogue Bayfront or Taphouse for our nightly happy hour from now on. We'll also spread the word around town. First of all, this bartender was incorrect. Per Oregon Administrative Rules "Oregon also permits hemp-derived CBD to be used, and there is no legal prohibition against the sale of CBD products to persons under age 21 years". Second of all, even if she could not sell the item ordered, her demener was wildly unprofessional. We left feeling verbally attacked and threatened. Please train your staff and vet your employees better. As for us, we will not be returning to your establishment anytime soon. It was frankly embarrassing, completely inappropriate and, as we have never been treated this way by a server or bartender, we will go literally anywhere else in Newport for drinks and snacks or to watch sports from now on.
