This is hands down our favorite restaurant in Newport and probably in all of the Oregon coast towns! The mushroom risotto cakes are out of this world and we also love the fish & chips, shrimp alfredo, steak, surf and turf, and the drinks (especially great mocktails!), and the s’mores in a jar is so good it’s often sold out (in that case get the brownie a la mode Or cheesecake jar!). We noticed this week that they updated some of the menu items and food is even better than before which was already great. Beyond the food the atmosphere is fantastic and Chai has been our waiter several times and is always fantastic!
The food was really fresh and the flavor was good! But our coconut shrimp were overcooked so they were a little tough. I also found a couple pieces of crab shell in my salad. Kind of expensive for the portions, I’d rather spend my money somewhere else.
Food and service was excellent!
I had the tuna poke bowl and my husband had the crab mac and cheese, both were absolutely superb 👌 would have give a 5 star but our waitress was inattentive and slightly awkward, perhaps she's new. The food was great.
Always a great place to eat, service is great,
Overall we had a wonderful lunch experience! The restaurant itself it’s nice and has a good vibe to it. It is kid friendly. We had the tacos and fish and chips. Both were delicious. Our kids food was great as well and decent size portions.
Clam chowder Devine, both guava and lavender lemonade awesome, Dungeness crab and garlic noodles yummy to the tummy
Expensive for what you get!
We came to Newport for a baseball tournament and Clearwater was recommended. Wow was it great. The atmosphere, the food and drinks were fantastic. Nicholas was our waiter and he made the experience great. We loved the sea lions too.
I’d love to be leaving a review about how delicious the food was and how much we enjoyed the view, but I can’t because your restaurant isn’t wheelchair accessible 😕

It was our first time in Clearwater and we loved it!
The food was really good, it was the best clam chowder I’ve ever tried! And the crème brûlée was so delicious!
We were sitting by the window so we could see all of those sea lions, it was fun to watch them.
When the weather’s nice you could sit outside and be even closer to the sea lions.
The atmosphere is very cozy, and the waitress was positive, friendly and considerate.
In the end she gave us these post cards, which is a nice bonus to already nice evening.
Highly recommend!
