Food was great except the clam chowder. It was only warm and not flavorful at all. The lady said everyone likes it. No problem if you like your food flavorless and not hot.

We have been coming here every time we visit Newport. Food is delicious but the service today is horrible. I came in with my husband and our baby that is in a small carseat/stroller (doona). I mention the brand of the stroller because it is small and convenient when going into restaurants. Right off the bat I knew it’s gonna be an issue, the host was “struggling” to find a table for us, mind you it was not busy at the time we came in, there was a couple sitting closer to the doors and one customer sitting in the middle so I didn’t understand why the host guy took a minute to decide where to seat us. When the host decided where he was going to seat us, he said “I can seat you here as long as “it” (the baby) does not get in the way. Like excuse me?? My husband said our baby will not get in the way. I moved a chair so our baby can be by my husband and not be “in the way”. Host gave us waters and saw where I had put the chair and said “this cannot be here” with a nasty attitude. I really was trying my best to keep my cool but honestly the host/waiter’s attitude this entire interaction made me lose my appetite. I approached a guy that was working the back and asked for a manager and no manager was available. We left because I was too pissed off to eat there.
