We missed our exit heading back to the valley and as we turned up a street behind the 101 we saw this cute little cafe. With ample parking next door we decided to stop in for brunch.
We were so presently surprised by how wonderful the food was.
We were treated to lemon water and fresh fruit as we ordered.
I had the Provence omelette with a croissant! Yumm!
Caramelized onions, peppers, ham, Gruyère, omelette - enough for left overs!
We also grabbed a cinnamon roll on our way out.
I only wish we got there earlier to buy more pastries.
Looking forward to a date trip back to the coast and I know where will stop for brunch again.
The restaurant is small and intimate. What they lack in space they make up for in great service, and quality food.

We stopped in on our way out of town and I’m SO glad we did! The food was cooked and seasoned to perfection, and Sylvia was an absolute doll. We appreciated the fresh squeezed juice in the mimosas, the soup du jour and salad were amazing, and we both enjoyed our entrees 🙏🏼

Nice breakfast and lunch spot. The Eggs Benedict with in-house English muffins is very much worth getting. Big portions, reasonable prices, good service. It's a small place, so be prepared to wait for a table or get takeout if you're in a hurry.

Do not waste your time here. They offer basically 2 food items for breakfast crepes or French toast. No children options. My 5 year old decided on the crepes didn't eat a single bite and I was still charged the 24$ for them. The food is not good. Waitress was constantly coming over to check on us, could hardly eat because I was constantly talking to the waitress. Bathrooms were out of soap and paper towels and after playing at the beach all I wanted to do was wash my hands before eating. Tiny dinning area, maybe 6 tables total to eat at and chairs were touching back to back. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else

My partner and I drive over an hour just to visit our beloved La Maison!!! The food is impeccable, the staff are ALWAYS so friendly and greet you with a smile and a warm welcome. They also bake some of the BEST olive rosemary bread, and carry some local companies' products. Now, their bakery section? We immediately claim what we would like to buy from the window as they are a hot commodity! The banana eclairs will always be our favorite, but literally anything you get from there won't disappoint. I enjoyed a Monte Cristo today that was huge!! I could only eat maybe 1/3 of it before packing it back home. I also tried a local company that makes marionberry lemonade at one of the staff (I believe maybe the owner?) suggestions, and she nailed it - it was delicious on this warm sunny day! As always, we will be back ❤️

Food is delicious thats the only thing thing I can say positive.
They have a table RIGHT next to the bathroom and a garbage can and unfortunately thats where they sat us
And we asked for plain French toast and what we got wasn't that. When I asked they said that was what they served and was final. So I paid 21 for French toast I didn't order.
That door leads to a bathroom
My leg is almost to the garbage can
And picture of our French toast.

This fine mademoiselle knows how to prepare a poached egg to perfection! We loved everything about this cozy little French cafe from the moment we entered. Fresh squeezed orange juice, hot tea, honey, breakfast sandwich and the Salmon Eggs Benedict were all delicious! We are visiting Newport but if I lived here I would become a regular! Merci beaucoup!

We arrived here earlier than expected for breakfast at about 10 min before opening. It was a lovely morning so we just waited on the front porch and were the first in line at opening.
On a positive note, the atmosphere here is good with plenty of character and charm with a small town, old converted home vibe.
The server took our order straight away and we had high hopes for a lovely breakfast. Unfortunately, that was the end of the positive aspects of our experience here. After waiting 50 minutes, our breakfast order was finally served. We had ordered the Paris omelette and the salmon Benedict. By the time the food was served, it was all cold at room temp and looked like it had just been sitting back in the kitchen for most of the 50 min we waited for it.
As you can imagine, the food was awful. The omelette was not only cold but it had been overcooked. The in-house made English muffins with the salmon Benedict were stale, dry and overly thick and dense.
The mediocre coffee, exceptionally bad service, and awful food cost us $75.
Yuck.
