We came from Texas and were disappointed with the food. Atmosphere was disappointing as well. Party of 5 sat a a small table downstairs. The best thing about our experience was the waitperson.food was ok but not worth the reviews we read received. Better seafood in other places around town.
Service was top notch, attentive band responsive. Upstairs where our family of 6 sat offered a fantastic view of the bay and harbor. Food: crab cheddar soup was wonderful; two in our party like their sandwiches. Crab cakes and scallop appetizers also excellent. Regarding the fish stew: quality seafood but needed more for the price, and remove the garlic bread from the bowl where it soaked up the broth before you knew it. Fantastic wine list, and our Walla Walla zin was great. Wine prices by bottle or glass are very high. I suggest adding some $25 to $35 reds which will attract more drinkers. Great food, great value if you can afford it

My small plate of scallops was lovely, but my husband ordered the signature dish, Brazilian stew. The lime flavor was overwhelming, and you couldn’t taste the wonderful seafood. We were very disappointed.

This was truly a magnificent night! The location was great - beautiful view of the dock and in a great walkable part of Newport. Upon arrival, the staff/servers were warm, welcoming, and jovial - felt like we were old friends. The restaurant was spacious and bright - very comfortable (loved the inside/outside feel with heaters). Now...the food. THE FOOD! My husband and I both firmly believe this was one of the best meals we've ever had: the rum old fashioned was a great start, halibut ceviche, crab cake, fishwives stew. All un-be-lievable! We are still talking about the flavorful broth and garlic toast! Thank you for a truly memorable evening on our vacation.

Seafood restaurant on Newport Harbour. Open sided so can be chilly. Need to book or expect a wait. Somewhat frosty reception. Menu is quite limited in choice although the fishwives stew was good and big enough for us to share. Desserts were strange combinations of ingredients. The chocolate avocado and coconut didn't work.The reputation locally seemed to outweigh our experience. Patio area was full of people with dogs.

Great food and service ... 4 stars instead of 5, Only because a 20% tip was auto-added to the total - AND the tip-spot was still left blank - we almost tipped 40+% (felt a little sneaky - left a bad taste)
I was recommended this place by a friend. The steamers were good, although on the broth-y side. The garlic bread that came with was excellent. Fries were of generous portion and the fried oysters were my favorite! Fennel salad was also a banger. I felt like the pisco sour wasn’t as alcoholic as I’m used to and not super coconut flavored. Overall, very yummy meal, spent $72 all in all with 20% gratuity included. Waiter almost overly attentive, but for a higher end place to be expected.

Im going to start off by saying this was probably my mistake, because who orders a burger at a seafood place right? Well, I was really craving one so I did. The burger did not taste good and to top it off I got food poisoning from it. Even if their specialty is seafood, they should not have things in their menu that don’t have the same care/quality. If they are not going to have a good item on the menu they should just not serve it so they can focus on their good items.
