Jung Bong was absolutely delicious. Steamed Oysters in Black Bean and and Ginger Sauce were really tasty as well. Service was outstanding. The owner even gifted me rice and kimchi to take with the rest of my Jung Bong broth! Will definitely come back next time I’m in Newport.

Arguably the best place in Newport for the money. Great lunch/dinner. Lisa the owner is funny, sweet, and incredibly knowledgeable. The food menu is extensive for such a small place, but everything is executed really well. I’ve eaten almost the entire menu, and there’s nothing I wouldn’t get again, but my favorites are the Seafood Pancake, Szechuan Chicken, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Bulgogi, and Kung Pao Shrimp.

Place was very dirty with fies flying around. Old lady server, who was most likely the owner was very rude. She refused to substitute the meat from pork to chicken. She stated that everything was "made to order." Meaning if she substitutes something she will have left overs and don't want to waste that food. Most likely frozen or prepackaged. She then turned around and told her kitchen staff that we don't know what we want. She came to the table at least three different time, was loud and rude. She refused to answer questions about the menu and got pissy that it took us time to decide what we wanted. We ended up leaving without ordering due to how rude she was. I have never left a noodle place. I love noodles. She kept repeating that I don't know what I want instead of making suggestions and explaining the menu. I've never had a noodle place treat me with such indignation. Such a shame. Plus she was a jerk about me setting my baby carseat on the floor. It was an empty restaurant when we got there. My baby wasn't in anyone's way.

Noodle Cafe is a diamond in the rough. One of those notorious hole in the wall surprises. The food is phenomenal! Delicious!
I've been here several times, had several items, and every time the dish has been stellar. Noodle Cafe can compete with anything you'd find in Portland or Seattle.
Highly recommend!

Can't wait to return. This place is fantastic. The food is fresh and delicious. Friendly staff. It's a shame I was here on vacation. Or I would be here at least once a week. My daughter and I highly recommend it.

While traveling through Newport, the constant burgers and fries made me miss Chinese food immensely. Seeing the highly rated "Noodle Cafe," I decided to give it a try, and the result was astonishing. Honestly, many Chinese restaurants in the U.S. often lack authentic flavors and have coarse seasoning methods, but Noodle Cafe uses genuine ingredients and offers refined dishes. My husband and I ordered two noodle soups. The broth's flavor was excellent and the portions are very generous. The owner manages the details of food with great care, perfectly presenting the true taste of Chinese cuisine. I truly envy the locals who can enjoy such thoughtfully prepared and authentic Chinese food anytime.

It was a amazing. The owner was really nice and offered to help pack my food. She was friendly and checking up on everyone to see if their food was good. It busted so hard.

Vegetarian options: There was optional tofu for some dishes with meat. My sister is vegetarian and she recommends this place for vegetarians!
