I went in a while back to buy some fudge for my friends who stayed back at the Airbnb but I was immediately thrown off by the amount of flys all over it, absolutely disgusting. I decided to try a drink and couldn't even go for another sip after my first because the milk was so sour and had no coffee flavour. The workers were very kind but the older lady, I'm assuming their boss, was being very mean to the other workers and was getting mad over sample requests.

While traveling the Oregon Coast with my husband, we stopped at Devils Punchbowl and noticed a small shop offering coffee and sweets. As a coffee lover, I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

When I asked the barista what roast they served, she seemed unsure and had to ask the manager. That should have been my first warning sign. After confirming they had a medium roast, I ordered an iced coffee with dairy milk. Instead, I was given a hot coffee. When I clarified that I wanted it iced, I watched as the barista simply poured the hot coffee over ice, which watered it down immediately. The result was one of the worst coffees I’ve ever had—thin, flavorless, and undrinkable.

I regret not returning it, but at that point I just wanted to leave. While this shop may be fine for sweets, I strongly suggest skipping the coffee. If you’re looking for a quality cup, you won’t find it here.

The breakfast sandwich and coffee was amazing, and will definitely be back for more.

Pass on getting coffee here, especially decaf. Not good for decaf espresso coffee. Regular espresso is ok. Do not order decaf coffee from this cafe. They use a cold brew type of decaf which has zero flavor. I didn't think they added the shot of express into my mocha because I didn't taste any coffee, neither did my family members who tasted it, and they aren't even coffee drinkers!

I took it back and asked if they forgot the shot and they said 'no' and offered to add another shot. After adding the second shot, you still could not taste any coffee.

There was no foam at all and no chocolate flavor either.

It was the worst decaf mocha I've ever had. The mocha/latte/hot chocolate machines at hotels are much better.

Pass on getting coffee here, especially decaf.

VERY friendly staff (and my partner asked a lot of questions!!). Low key vibe, great service. We walked up the beach from our campsite at Beverly Beach SP and came up the stairs for our morning coffee and got some breakfast sandwiches. There's a great little park with picnic tables and a beautiful ocean view across the street! Sweet find!

Love the boldness of this cafe in having scripture on their walls and free new testament bibles for anyone to take!
Bless you all abundantly!

What better thing to do when in Otter Rock, but visit Cliffside Coffee & Sweets! We got some yummy ice cream and chocolates, and then visited the park across the street to sit, enjoy the squirrels, and watch the surfers. Thank you! 🏄‍♀️🌊🍦

Love this place. Reasonable prices for ice cream. Family was happy to stop and check out the area after a long morning fishing. Awesome place to stop get some sweets and see the cauldron or surf. Top five places to check out on the Oregon Coast.

Okay so I called ahead to see if they had chai latte because I had just had one of the worst chai lattes of my life, and they said yes. So when I showed up, the older lady was very sweet. She actually made it for me and had me taste it before purchasing it.

And honestly it was terrible. Just sweet milk with no chai flavoring.

I was going to pay for it but I think she could tell he didn't like it. So then I just ordered a Hot Americano because I was tired of trying to find a good chai.

My expectations dropped immediately because she pulled a milk jug of coffee out of the fridge and proceeded to pour it into a shot glass.

Americanos are supposed to be made from fresh espresso. Not cold brew or whatever it was in those containers.

She then filled at the rest of the way up with hot water and put in a tiny splash of heavy cream. This thing was so watered down that it was almost white with just that little splash of heavy cream.

Tasted worse than gas station coffee. So I paid for it and left and threw it in the trash.

The best chai I have ever had was at Cold Water & Coffee up in Pacific City. So if you want an actually good chai that's where you're going to go. The worst chai is at Pirate Cove coffee.

Based on the drinks alone I would have given this place a one star. But because the lady was so nice to make the chai before I paid to make sure I liked it, I'm giving it a four.

A little offputting to have such loud religious decorations in a little tourist site coastal coffee shop. I'm sure the intentions aren't bad but seemed strange considering how that can impact a customer experience.

Average. Kids size and regular scoop the same size! Other options of desserts available. Out of several flavors of ice cream. Friendly service. Clean.

My sons and I had a great experience! Delicious ice cream (my boys), delicious latte (me!). The two young ladies behind the counter were kind and helpful. Beautiful spot, plus, the prices were excellent! Thank you for the lovely service!

What a lovely little shop. Tasty pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Cutie place to nab morning picnic bits on the coast.

Ice cream was good and everyone was nice. The young man that scooped our ice cream didn't use any gloves or a napkin between his hands and the cone. I noticed the other people working would grab a napkin, then the cone. It kind of grossed me out that his hands were all over my cone so I ate a few bites and threw it out.
