This is a great little place right before you get into newport coming from waldport. My wife and I had lunch here today, and it was fantastic. I had their version of the captains platter and it was absolutley great. My wife had a garlic lovers burger and she absolutley enjoyed it. The atmosphere was perfect, not to loud, tvs all over the place, the natural light was perfect. And then there was our server, He was a man with facial hair and had a spider tattoo on his neck I believe, anyways he was awesome very nice very polite not pushy just an awesome individual with absolute great service and as I was leaving he was giving his cooking team props and thanks for how good they were doing I hope he sees this and knows he is doing awesome. And afterwards we went into the candy shop next door and got some fudge

Came to watch the Broncos vs Bill's game. They set me up in a booth in the Bar! Great view of the screen! Bar tender Tristan was amazing! Gave me tastes of drafts to choose from. Got the Dragons tooth stout! Fish and chips was crispy and juicy! Chips were big and delicious! 2 lemon slices which were perfect! Malt vinegar on the side. Perfect ambiance of decor and you've got the spot!!! Stop here when you come to Newport! The menu has a great variety of seafood and burgers to choose from!

Best French Dip I've had... ever. My husband ate his Peanut Butter Cheeseburger so fast... you don't get to see a photo! The poutine was a unique take with a chicken gravy... and SO delicious. We didn't see the cheese curds (did they melt? Were they tiny? Forgotten?) But the gravy was so delicious we didn't care. We were also both surprised we liked the fries... they ate a creative cut that balances crispy and fluffy inside. The place was full and understaffed (it was January- no reason to be so crazy full and yet it WAS!)- Yet the miraculous guy that served us was on top of things. We had to wait a bit, but we got full service- drink refills and piping hot food served to us! Highly recommend. (Just don't do the same day as us... we want a table too...)

We waited a while to be seated. When we finally got a seat our self the one waiter seemed annoyed. We waited 20 minutes before he took our order and we got informed it would be 40 minutes before we would get food. Food was ok just warm not really hot. And then we get the bill and they added 18% gratuity for our family of four, when the menu on the front says, families of six or more. Don't think we will be back

Waited to be seated for several minutes, had to find a table even though sign said Wait to be seated, and waiter had a attitude about it, almost a hour to get him to take our order and that also means we finally got Water but no refills, plus a 18% gratuity tip put on bill for two people, I see this place loosing a lot of business, I know I won't come back

The oyster shooters were fresh and sweet. The poutine was an interesting take on the dish. Additional cheese and gravy would be nice. The clam chowder is creamy. The cannonball with clam chowder tasted good and was fun to eat. The artichoke Parmesan encrusted rockfish was good. Prices are reasonable.
Biggest regret? Not saving room for a dessert.
The bathroom, shared by multiple businesses in the building, needs a deep cleaning.

Seated with our children promptly then the waiting began.... took a long time for Travis E to come and take our order the whole time it seemed like we were bothering him. We gave our drink and food order at the same time, he was going to walk away without taking my dinner order. When the food arived he forgot to bring one of my childrens dinners then acted like we again were bothering him for mentioning it. At the end my family went to the car and I waited for the check to finally come upon looking at the check he added gratuity for my husband myself and children ages 1 to 12 never has that ever happened before we have traveled allover the U.S my kids absolutely do not leave messes and they are quiet and well behaved. The food was good the service was beyond terrible and disappointing.

I just had the best meal I may have ever had on the Oregon coast! I ordered a side of the catch of the day (rockfish) fried with Cajun seasoning over mashed potatoes covered with a bowl of their crawfish etoufee! It was absolutely amazing!

We have eaten here a few times when we are in Newport and really enjoy it. The food has consistently been great - oyster shooters, fish and chips and fish sandwich with the grilled fish. The “chips” are pretty unique, a cross between potato chips and French fries; we love them. Our waiter this last time was fantastic. His section filled up as we were eating, but he was able to take care of everyone without losing a beat! This place is our go to when we are in town.
