Friendly, but the coffee was quite bad. We threw them out.

This place sucks. I should have took off when he said they were Cashless, but there are slim pickins' for espresso on the Bay Front so I ordered a freezer burnt ice-cream and a $5 cappuccino which was burnt and bitter. I did try to get one that wasn't burnt but he said they "cant redo it". I asked why, and he said its their policy, and they "have to do what they are told". It is their "policy" to not fix their mess. Weird business. Its the American way these days to do what you are told and have no personal will whatsoever. Also, there is no "for here" options, get your low quality expensive product and leave.

Easily the worst coffee in newport. Owned by the nephew of the moe's chain and clearly a nepotism situation. Guy can't brew coffee, tried to intimidate doodlebugs into upping their prices so SurfTowns didnt look so ridiculous. Luckily they just laughed him off. As if this wasn't enough, he now blasts the most annoying ads imaginable so that no one walking the bay can enjoy a moments peace. Same business owns Bayscapes, which is a bummer, because that place at least had a view. Now its just an extension of the worst coffee shop in the area. I get the Moe's lady wants her nephew to do well, but this is making the bayfront worse. If you have everything handed to you, the least you could do is try to make a decent cup of coffee, for a reasonable price.

$3 for water - tap water. Didn’t tell me it wasn’t bottled water. Congrats on the rip off!

Prices were ridiculous. Ice cream tasted freezer burnt. Got chocolate when asked for mudslide.

Smoothies taste great but unfortunately they don’t use real fruit like the menu states. Instead they use syrups and ice, that’s it. No real bananas or strawberries… ?

Fantastic coffee made fresh by the barista. Beautiful outdoor seating on the Yaquina Bay. A must try.

She was very rude and had terrible customer service. Everything we wanted she said was out of order such as a milkshake, soft serve and the ice cream selection was limited and it tasted freezer burnt! I will never go there again and suggest you don't either.

As the only real coffee place on the Bayfront, they really are wasting the real estate. Nowhere to sit and enjoy the view and a coffee, basically a grab and go. Really disappointing use of limited waterfront space.

The coffee, at least from brand bought at the local grocery store, is not great. Perhaps it is the way it is stored or how long it sat on the shelf, but it was bitter and cardboardy. Pretty flat too. Disappointing.

Located right in the harbor on the main boardwalk, Surf Town opens at just the right time on a Sunday morning.Spousifer and I got mochas (mine plain, his Mexican) which came out hot and delicious. If you’re looking for a quick cup, this might not be the place for you. Our server was very talkative and gave us lots of tips about the local dining scene. They were very nice and we actually ended up taking their advice on dining at Local Ocean!Next time, I think I should get a fancier drink because the Mexican mocha was definitely tastier than mine.
