We were honestly surprised by the high ratings because our experience was very disappointing.

The service wasn’t terrible — wasn’t amazing

The food, unfortunately, was the problem.

We started with the combo appetizer plate, and everything tasted like it had been previously frozen and then deep fried again. It was overly hard and not very enjoyable. The crab wontons were especially disappointing — they were extremely small with barely any filling, mostly just fried wrapper.

For our main dishes, my wife ordered a shrimp entrée but could only eat a couple bites before feeling unwell due to the texture of the shrimp. I ordered the curry beef noodle dish. Thai cuisine is known for its rich, layered flavors, especially in broth-based dishes, but this one lacked depth and balance. It’s not something I would order again.

My wife and I genuinely enjoy Thai food, which made this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t recommend this restaurant based on our visit.

Man I love Thai food, but this place wasn’t even close.
What really got my wife and I was the reviews I mean 4.7 that’s pretty crazy considering the food we had. Definitely got bamboozled. Couldn’t even get through a quarter of our main courses and definitely didn’t want to take them home.
And the appetizers- I feel like I just saw that same pack in the Walmart freezer section. Wow Thai food is amazing has so much flavor this food on the other hand would be pretty embarrassing to take ownership of 😬

Food is really good. Our friend had fresh wraps, and coconut shrimp for appetizers which was tasty she even had to order another of the coconut shrimp since she loved it so much. Our friend also got the Goong Ob Woonsen very tasty, and I wish I chose that instead and added duck. I got the duck pad Thai and wow the duck was really tender not chewy at all like duck can sometimes be. Though I was not a fan of the Pad Thai noodles was way too sweet for the 3 of us that had it. Definitely try the duck we all loved it great flavor and texture.

The food was delicious! We had chicken satay, orange chicken, pork fried rice, chicken pad thai, chicken yellow curry, mango sticky rice, and a frozen lemonade slushy. The restaurant quickly filled for the last hour of service and the waitress handled the floor with ease and attentiveness. This will definitly be a favorite spot for our next trip to Newport.

The food here is so good i haven’t stopped thinking about it since visiting. Best thai food I’ve had so far. Tom yum soup is so good and so is the hot basil fried rice.

The service wasn’t wonderful.
The food wasn’t anything special about the food. We got the pad Thai, fresh rolls and a Thai tea. All was mediocre.
The table we sat at had a foggy window and we couldn’t see the waterfront which was disappointing.

If you love this place, don't let my review get you down. I'm used to big city Thai from Seattle and this isn't it. It's not bad or even the worst I've had, but it's just average. Plus, we finished our meal at about 7:55 and wanted to order dessert and she would only serve it to us to go since they closed at 8. Weird. Never experienced that before in a restaurant. Would go to Gyro Guys Grill over this place 7 days a week.

Very nice, location is great. Right on the water. Beautiful view of the newport bridge. Food if first rate. Service was good. It's small. So it gets crowded fast. There's only one server when I went. She was quite busy. My group had about 10 people .The wait time was about 45 min. After ordering.
