I'm not sure what is worse, the food or the owner...First off, I am a local, not a tourist. I do not mind paying a high dollar amount for GOOD quality food. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. This place leans towards quanity over quality...We placed a to-go order for spring rolls and two orders of teriyaki chicken. The total was $45! Whaaaaaat?!The food was done and when we looked at the chicken alone, it almost made me throw up. They definitely do not use white meat for their teriyaki. The meat looked so fatty, we couldn't do it. Then, we looked at the spring rolls. They are seriously charging $7.95 for two baby sized spring rolls! I go in to get my refund and the rest of the experience was a nightmare. The owner kept arguing for much longer than she should have. I said nothing to this lady except, I would like my refund. I said it over and over and over again. She was having a full on conversation with herself, saying she's been in business for 20 years and nobody ever complains. Hahaha. Okay lady, keep telling yourself that. Then, she continues on telling me the food is good, and I should not come back. Okay, fantastic. Again- I need my refund. She still goes on.. she's now looking through all the food and says you didn't even eat anything. Well yeah lady, that's kind of the point as to why I want my refund. I had to tell her 4 more times I want my refund before she finally processed it. Looking at my voided receipt, I see that they added a $5.45 tip for themselves. What a joke!Here is a REAL tip for you.. As a local business owner myself, not every single customer is going to like your food/product. I came to this establishment for lunch today with a friend. I have NEVER been here and wanted to try their food. My friend ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken. I ordered the Chow Fun with Chicken and No vegetables. The waitress brought out our food, and my didn't look like what I was expecting, but I tried it anyway. I did not like the taste or texture. I pushed it to the side. The waitress asked me what was wrong. I told her that I did not like it. She asked why, I told her I just didn't. She took it away, as she took it away my friend saw her take a bite of my food she took away. She came back out and told me everyone in back tasted it, and it tasted good to them. She then asked me what could be changed for the next time, I told her idk, and I felt on the spot." She then asked if I was going to order something else I said I didn't know. When she came back she told me if I didn't like what I ordered then maybe I shouldn't order any more food. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS!!! You do not tell a customer, "If you don't like our food, then maybe you should order anything else." I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT

I love this place so much! I go here daily with my mom and dad. Considering I am a grown women who is a only child this place is my safe place. Growing up I always went here and the staff treat me like family. I love every dish they serve it is yumtastic!
Great people. Great food. Large servings. My favorite Asian food place in Newport. My go to for take-out as well. It has been fun to watch the owners kids grow up and become young adults as well.

First time experiencing Yummy Bowl in Newport. I ordered food for pickup & my phone experience was exceptionally pleasant. When I arrived, the parking lot was easy to maneuver & very clean. Inside the restaurant I was greeted promptly & kindly. The atmosphere was spotless & very zen. When I got home & opened my container, the honey chicken looked a bit different than I’d experienced other places. I gave it a try. It was creamier & less honey sweet than I expected; it was not icky but it wasn’t great. I’ll be trying another dish in the future. The chicken inside was hot, tender, crispy outside & fantastic. So, overall 4 stars & I’ll be back to try something different and reassess.

Trash! This place was horrible. I am not sure how the food can be steamy, yet cold. Everything was salty and flavorless. The egg fu young was mushy. I took about 2 bites of everything and could not finish the food. They still charged me full price. It was a bunch of kids working. The service was terrible. I will not be going back, and I do not recommend.

Stopped in with the kids for dinner. Friendly staff, we were sat quickly. Drinks arrived fast. Strawberry lemonade was a big hit with the kids. Portions were very large! We split a sweet and sour chicken dish between the 3 of us and had a full portion left to take home. Also had the spring rolls. Food was delicious! Refills were very timely as well. Great experience all the way around. Can definitely recommend it if you're in the area.
