We picked up the medium size oysters on our trip from the Redwoods to Yachats. Boy were they big! And usually the bigger sizes aren’t as appetizing to us but these were probably the best I’ve ever had. Smooth and just delicious! Happy, friendly staff is very helpful when trying to choose what to have. We had the fried oyster tacos. Oyster chowder. And oysters on the half shell. Everything was so fresh and tasted so delicious and looked so good. I love this place. They sell take-home items in the fridge and freezer that also looked great. This little hidden gem is a touch of Heaven.

We love seafood and theirs is top-of-the-line! The oysters are sweet and salty and oh-so-good. The Hawaiian poke bowl was fabulous! Very fresh tasting tuna and the seaweed added that special something. Even the coleslaw was great. Staff was fast and friendly. Overall a great experience.

The food is top notch. Their oyster chowder is, hands down, the best chowder in the area.
Good variety of local beers to accompany your meal, plus non alcoholic drinks for the kids.
If you like seafood, peaceful meals, and hidden gems, this spot is a must-try.

Delicious oysters! I live in the PNW and am from the Western South Pacific standard, and I am familiar with the difference in excellent seafood in many regions. The oysters here are some of the best I have ever had. I ordered oysters on the half shell, oyster shooters, and their fried oysters. Their homemade bloody marry sauce, aiole, and clam sauce was amazing! The oysters were large for their size this season and were freshly harvested and well prepared. Will 100% be back! As well as comfortable with selecting the local option over a more commercial option in the future. They only thing I could think bout complaining of, if forced, is the lack of shade for outdoor seating if bringing a pooch during the summer. The staff was amazing, knowledgeable, and part of the process. The food was simple and excellent without trying too hard. Prices were reasonable. It is difficult to complain about anything.
My daughter and I had a great experience at Clausen. I ordered the Tuna Poke Nachos. They were delicious! Very fresh and flavorful. Friendly and curteous staff. I enjoyed the tunes outside as well.
