We live 30 mins away in Reedsport made a reservation for my fiancés birthday for 6 people I chose this place because we have been there multiple times and had really good food and service this time was not the same unfortunately… We were served our food and my fiancé was supposed to get bread with her entree the waiter let us know they would be back with it in the meantime I ordered her a second drink, as we waited and watched others get there bread we asked our waiter if they were still bringing it out and she told us yes they were working on it. After waiting for another 15 mins my fiancé was done with her meal so we clearly were not going to get the bread by this time she reminded me about her drink I ordered so I asked the waiter and she told me they only have one bartender that’s understandable I was just confused and why there drink system is so odd we were nearly done with our meal and just wanted a second drink we did not want the drink to go obviously. I would say the food was overall good I did not like how they changed most of there recipes tho and were out of lots of things, the cheese used for dipping with the pretzel is the same used in the Mac and cheese it has a slight jalapeño taste to it now a few months back it was a white cheddar cheese sauce which did not have jalapeño in it. Our waiter did not check on us nearly as much as other tables in our area we had to ask for our tab and I ended up asking them to cancel the drink because our party was ready to leave. They messed up my fiancé sisters tab they tried charging her for two drinks. Overall if we would of had better service this would of been a great birthday dinner unfortunately I don’t think we will be back for quite awhile. I believe our waitress name started with the letter C if that helps anyone this was on 1/4/2025

This restaurant is the perfect place for a special night out. We were treated to great food and great service. Jocelyn was our waitress and she was there whenever we needed or wanted anything. The food was the best in town, I would also say probably one of the best meals I have ever had. All 4 of us had something different and all were happy with our choices. Kudos to the chef(s) and the staff. Will definitely be back.

Update: Yes Chef, I too understand the industry...your response and asking for us not to come in on a busy night seems a bit odd. Lol... We actually were sat at 4:30p(we arrived early for our 5:15 reservation). It was not busy... Just a thought, don't turn people away... Train your staff and maybe don't put the newbie on a Friday night?

$24 for a burger... The food was great! The service was terrible. Brought our water and coffee and didn't come back(I asked for more sugar for my coffee). Got the cup of clam "chowder" is more like clam potato stew(not creamy at all) it was delicious... But not chowder. Server didn't bring the sugar... Reminded him... Didn't come back until he brought our food ( Didn't take away the dishes from the chowder, didn't offer more drinks, didn't ask anything. After we were done with our food we Sat there waiting for the server... (MAYBE WE WANT DESSERT?!) After about 25 min waiting and him never coming back over AGAIN... We went to the hostess and said we wanted our ticket... She said she couldn't take payment and asked us to sit down....😐 And wait for the server. My husband said we are leaving(we were there for 2.5 hours in total). Our server has not checked on us once. Get our check. Hard to say if we will be back. With the prices... The food being good is NOT the only important thing.

Really good and diverse menu. Wonderful ownership. Tara and John have cultivated a beautiful atmosphere, you can tell it was built with passion.

Expensive, although everything is locally sourced, all of the bread is made in house. I understand the prices with these factors in mind, but it definitely limits how often I’m able to go. A real gem for the area and they try really hard.

During recent visits, wait times for any service at all has been appalling - waited 20 mins for a drink (and water?), and just under two hours for our food.

It seems as if their decoration efforts to fill out the space has stalled out. The mirror wall doesn’t look great, and there are blank canvas walls that are begging to be filled. The couch, stage and fireplace areas are wonderful - very inviting (mostly if you’re just drinking with perhaps a tapa).

They are an excellent business and veteran owned.

My salad had old, wilted, yellowed greens ( had to send it back). And the cranberry "trifle" isn't trifle at all (trifle has custard or at the least, pudding), it simply was cake and frosting shoved into a jar. However, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. There's not many options in North Bend or Coos for dining out.

We all had a good time at your restaurant! The staff was really nice and seemed to care about our dining experience! The food was great and we will definitely be coming back soon!

While both gluten free and vegan options are clearly indicated on the menu, it is not possible to get any pasta dish with both of those specifications due to the gluten free pasta containing egg, which the staff was not aware of. Despite giving allergies as gluten, dairy and egg at the beginning of the meal, we were informed that ordering the pasta gluten free and vegan would be safe, and it was also served with a gluten free baguette alongside that contained eggs. As soon as the error was noted (due to us double checking the baguette) the staff acted quickly to rectify the situation, but the allergy affected party had already eaten enough noodles to have a negative reaction. The meal was comped and a new dish offered. The food was delicious and the staff attentive, but in interest of ensuring that others don’t also have the same experience I feel the need to leave this review in hopes that the restaurant fixes this issue - how many vegans have consumed eggs without knowing, and how many others with allergies have eaten eggs here?

Despite the promises of the restaurant, several reviews, and even this app, this restaurant is making several errors that are exposing their customers. Upon being greeted by our server we discussed my allergies (gluten, dairy and eggs - true allergies, not by choice). The server promised me that we were in the right spot, and before any order went in she would review with the kitchen "who are really good at this". In seeing the Fall Pasta and noting the gluten free and vegan options I inquired with the server, who in turn discussed with the kitchen and returned to tell me that I would be safe. We were surprised when my meal was delivered to the table as there was a baguette served along with it - so I immediately questioned the fellow who brought the plate and he in turn indicated that he would check the ingredients, but that I was safe with the main, and that the cheese on top was even vegan. While waiting for his return on the baguette, I started with the main so that my daughter was not eating alone. After a few minutes the fellow came back to the table and said that not only did the baguette have egg whites in it, but so did the pasta!!! So despite all of the false claims by the restaurant I had been exposed as has everyone else who has tried either, or both (pasta and baguette) based on the false claims. Shame on the restaurant and the owner, double shame on the chef - this is unacceptable not to mention dangerous. So much for the false promises and advertising... This was an unforgivable mistake. The server tried her best from that point, and my meal was rightfully comped, but I didn't know that these efforts comes close to making up for their glaring errors.

This really is a neat place with the old architecture and feel. We were passing through driving down the Oregon coast and decided to stop in for dinner. We started with the bread board, the Pear Lemon Drop, and Apple Cider Mule all of which were really good. My wife had the Roasted Garlic Pasta with Chicken Parmesan and I had the Surf and Turf with the 6oz Filet, Yukon Gold Mash, and Autumn vegetables. Both meals were excellent. The staff was very friendly and inviting as well. Highly recommended this place.
