J & R Mexican Food

My wife brought me here for my 70th birthday. She asked, "where would you like to go?" "Surprise me.", I told her. Oh my! My grandmother from Puebla, Mexico would have loved this place. The tortillas were fresh, Handmade! I ordered the Pozole. Oh so rich and fragrant and bustling with pork, hominy and a very wonderful broth. Did I mention the tortillas?? Oh Lord!! I plan to bring my three adult children here for my son's birthday. I plan to eat my way through the menu, over the course of the next year or so. I can see that there are many others who love this place. The entire time we were having dinner, there was a steady stream of people coming in for takeout. Yep, this is a gem of a restaurant. Come enjoy.

my favorite little hole in the wall :) the staff is mostly one family which warms my heart. the environment is welcoming, modern, and clean. all of the staff is super friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. the chunky salsa is so good one of the best salsas i’ve ever had. i make the 20 minute drive very often for the food. all in all a really great place!

Absolutely the best Mexican food I’ve had in a very long time. Especially when it comes to the prices this place takes the cake. The salsa verde took me back to my childhood in a flashback. All around very nice staff and really clean.

Lord willing, we will definitely be coming back here! The potato taquitos were amazing, as was the chicken enchiladas! Fair prices too. Great service. Thank you J and R!

Cute restaurant, Awesome food, outstanding portions, friendly staff & very reasonably priced!! Had a bunch of family in town for Christmas Holiday & everyone was hungry! Highly recommend!!

Holy smokes. This place is great!
Customer service, down to earth. tacos, woah that tenderness and flavor, wow. The whole restaurant, clean and cohesive. And all at that price! Hell to the yes. I’m gobsmacked. My budget is tight but I’m budgeting for this place. Thank you thank you! Also. The horchata! Top notch. (You can tell it’s all homemade)

Great family-owned and run small restaurant. It is my go-to for consistently great mexican food. Tacos, carne asada plate, excellent, fresh guacamole, and a unique twist on the enchilada sauce/topping.
