We really enjoyed our visit. The food was tasty (chicken soup and a sandwich), the beer was good, the atmosphere fun and the bar tender really nice and attentive. We would certainly visit again if in the area.

If you are travelling I-5, and start feeling hungry anywhere within 150 miles of Oakland, Oregon, you REALLY should stop for sandwiches at the Oakland Tavern. OMG the food is good! They really understand how to balance meat, cheese and bread. We had three different sandwiches - each was a tremendously satisfying taste treat.

They consistently have delicious sandwhiches in a great dive bar feel. Friendly and helpful staff and ask for some peanuts

What a charming , salt of the earth tavern . Visiting with family and dropped in for lunch & beverage . We all had the Reuben sandwiches and soup of the day / creamy chicken Pabloma .
Unexpectedly delicious and filling . Saw my families names on the bar as an added treat . Thank you , hope to return one day to your lovely town !

Neat place to stop when you're in the area traveling through. Such a cute town.
The bar was busy, there was a ducks game playing on the TV. The bartender could have used some extra help.
