This is a “review”, no matter how the establishment responds. With that, the food is average and does not justify the very high prices. $20 for a burrito that didn’t come with any sides and $17 for street tacos? They no longer offer complimentary chips and salsa. Our bill was $65 for 3 people and we drank water.Keep in mind that this is not fine dining. It’s your local strip mall Mexican restaurant. We were the only patrons in the restaurant for quite some time, which is telling.This has been our go-to Mexican restaurant for quite a few years. I'm afraid we won’t be back due to the recent changes. Sorry.Edited: since the owner has chosen to call me a liar about the food prices, I am including photos from their online menu. I have also updated to ZERO stars. Nice job there, Mixtlan. Insulting numerous locals who are leaving feedback is a bad move.

I had been coming here for years and years... Went there today for lunch and the service was absolutely horrible. There was maybe 4 tables in the entire restaurant and plenty of staff but my service was awful! Not once got checked on had to literally call down a server to cash out my tab. I was ok with paying for chips and salsa I understand all prices go up but with that being said I expected my normal wonderful service but it was HORRIBLE!!! I don't understand why there are so many people working but yet service is that bad!! What happened to my favorite Mexican restaurant???!!!Also my Cadillac Margarita was not good at all! Tasted like straight sour mix

Wow! This place went south! Have to pay for salsa and chips now. Really?? Menu prices are outrageous! I understand that the economy sucks but, paying 26 bucks for a single meal that we have paid 15 bucks in the past. Disgusting I say, DISGUSTING!!!

They are going to lose customer base solely on taking away free chips and salsa. That is a staple of Mexican restaurants business'! 4 bucks for something that was free for generations(at most mexican restaurants)will not sit well with consumers. I, for one will not be back. They should have just infused the cost into their food offerings across the board. Sad really for all, too many "other" places to frequent with same level quality of food here in town ....

The food was good. Both my partner and I went on empty stomachs and got the Steak Ranchero burrito. It didn't come with rice and beans on the side as we thought though. I'm not sure if that was a mistake or not. But service was good. Food was amazing, we both had leftovers!

They have started charging for their chips and salsa! That's ridiculous since forever Mexican restaurants offered unlimited free chips and salsa! Now we are expected to pay $4 then .85 for any extra salsa. This price increases everywhere is just getting insane! I will not be back for a long time.

Service is always good. Very disappointed they are now charging for chips and salsa and additional charges for bean dip, which adds another $4.50 onto the already pricey meals. If you want salsa for your meal add another 85 cents. Probably won't go back for
