A little bit of Scotland in Oregon City. You can't go wrong. Our server was awesome!
Try the Bangers and Mash
Great little pub with a wonderful British flair. Good selection of whiskey.
The closest you can get to something you'd find in every village in England or Scotland. The George and Dragon in Seattle is another authentic place. The scotch/whiskey/whisky list is impressive and if you are overwhelmed by it, the bartenders and servers know their stuff.
I still go here at least once a month. It's a really great spot. Gluten-free fish and chips are amazing and I'm not even gluten-free!
This is such a cute little pub. It reminds us of the pubs in the UK. The food was delicious. I love all the gluten free options. The service was great, some of the friendliest we have experienced in recent years.
Such a fun vibe! Definitely try the fish and chips - yummmmmmy!

We used to be devoted Still House patrons, but the service has declined significantly. After three visits over several months, we waited nearly 30 minutes just for drinks…each time served by unfriendly or seemingly distracted servers. Whether it’s insufficient staffing or mismanagement, the charm has faded from this once fantastic spot.

What a vibe! A friend and I came in around 2:30 on a drizzly Sunday afternoon to grab a bite and a drink. Parking is a weird situation, they have a small lot that, for some reason, has a faded out sign for tri-met park and ride... I parked there anyway and didn't get a ticket or towed or anything, so I guess that's ok?
This place has two entrances - one is at the corner of the building at the intersection with the traffic light, and the other you walk up a wooden ramp past their balcony seating and to a door on the second floor (the building is kind of at the edge of a hill, it'll make sense once you see it). Friend and I went into the first floor entrance, which seems to be the minors-acceptable space. The person who greeted us kind of ushered us upstairs immediately, which is where the minors-not-allowed space is. From what I saw of the downstairs, it feels like a pretty traditional pub, with some good natural light from street-facing windows.
Upstairs is a completely different story though. Everything is dark, with comfortable couches and chairs, an electric fireplace, darts, and a bar separated through three different small rooms.
My friend and I got pints of Guinness and pilsner, an order of cod fish and chips, sausage roll, and a Reuben sandwich with chips (fries). I wish I would have remembered to take a photo, they do their fries here as more of a potato wedge. They came out perfectly crispy and not soggy in the middle, and were very obviously fresh because they were hot! Everything was delicious, I loved my Reuben and was really happy that they could accommodate my dairy allergy by omitting the cheese. The sausage rolls were just as they should be - slightly savory and perfect with a little dab of Hp brown sauce. They did come with a choice of jams, my friend tried one of them that we hadn't heard of before (tayberry).
Along with the great food and atmosphere, the service here was outstanding! Not overly hover-y, but not absent, no rush to get out after we'd finished eating, but still *there* - really made us feel welcome to sip and enjoy our beers and have a chat. This is place is clearly intended to be a "3rd space". I just wish I lived closer!
