Spyglass at Otter Crest

We had our outdoor wedding ceremony on September 7, 2024 on the north lawn with approximately 50 guests, followed by an indoor reception in Spylass. The weather cleared just in time for an absolutely beautiful ceremony!

James and his team at Spyglass did an outstanding job for us. He answered our many questions and made accommodations for our changes during the planning process. We can't thank him enough for his patience. Most importantly, they delivered above and beyond our expectations on the day of. Everything was seamless, with the food and service more than we could have asked for. We heard many comments from our wedding guests stating it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding reception.

Had a blast…. We own a couple of restaurants and bars and found ourselves totally enjoying ourselves. Jim, the owner, has incredible character… the kind you would enjoy during an after hours drink. He cracks me up… The location is incredible… amazing beauty! Love this place!! Will be back.

I can even eat a dominos pizza when hungry. This pizza was inedible. Do not eat here.

Our family was visiting the coast and we were excited to dine at The Spyglass. When we walked in at 5, there were 3 tables open but we were told they had no more room FOR THE NIGHT. We were the only party with kids and it seemed like they didn’t want to accommodate us because of that.

Spyglass at Otter Crest was like visiting a beautiful, faraway land. The property is gorgeous, and the view and food blew me away. So happy we had an event there and got to check it out. Will be back to enjoy it again! Soon!

Always worried about the quality of food when I am at a “view “restaurant. However, the ribs are slow cooked and amazing, the fish was great, and Becca provided the best service we could imagine. We’ve been to otter crest, lots of times, and this is the first time we went to the restaurant, and it won’t be the last!

Great atmosphere,views and decor! Super clean!Even a pool table! Staff is professional and engaging.I ordered a burger which turned out to be double smashburger patties without being described as such. So of course it was overcooked.I'll try pizza next time.

We ate here because of the proximity to our room. The pizza is INCREDIBLE. In fact, next time we will get it to go. However - drinks sucked. My 007 martini boasted some incredible flavors on the menu but I found the only flavor I could taste was gin and stale olives. The lemon, black pepper, and spruce flavors were completely lacking. My husband's margarita was just ok. The drinks were $16.99 each! And the waitress was without personality. She was friendly enough but not outgoing at all. I will not dine here again and I recommend you don't either. Get a can of beer that can't be messed up, a pizza, and head back to your room or to the pool where there are outdoor tables.

Service very slow. No line but waited to be seated for 5 mins. Got waters, but another long wait for drinks. Food came out quickly. Wife ordered a burger but came with no bun or any fixings like lettuce, mayo, tomatoes! Had to get them reordered. The ribs were fatty and over cooked. Not worth $26Will try again on another visit as maybe they were just having a bad day.

It's pretty bad when a restaurant can eff up a hawaiin pizza. Dough wasn't done. Giant chunks of ham. Had to scrape off excess sauce. Double cheeseburger with so little taste even the bacon was bland. Just get dinner elsewhere when you stay here.
