I went on because it always seems so busy. I had clam chowder and salad. They were both okay, but I felt overpriced. It would be quite expensive for a family of 4 to eat here. The view is exceptional... We had a show from the Whales swimming in the ocean.
Dinner was great. The staff was attentive and overall feel of the restaurant was clean and a great place to have dinner.

Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips with Coleslaw
Way overpriced for dining along the Oregon Coast (seriously, the meals during the rest of our trip were the cost of dining out in Portland before 2020). Shrimp and ahi bowls were underwhelming. Slaw for the fish and chips was just meh. Used to go here in the 2000s through early 2010s when I drank beer. Won’t be back.

Wow! We've spend our entire summer traveling the Washington and Oregon coast and are always on the lookout for a place to eat where we would want to come back.
COMING BACK!!
Calamari was all you would want and hope for. Fish and Chips was great and nice fries. Clam Chowder in bread bowl was wonderful.
Don't know when they close up the outside seating, but that was packed with families where kids can play in the sand while they wait for food and when they finish.

Stopped for lunch. I had calamari and clam chowder. They were both top notch. Finance has pretzels and cheese. Pretzels were just ok tasteing but the cheese was delicious. I had a beak breaker ipa, she had the Hefeweizen. Beer was excellent. What really separates this place from any other’s is the view. Pictures attached. We were inside but the outdoor patio is fabulous. One oddity, the bathrooms. The sinks are communal for everyone. Then there are doors for all single toilets. That everyone shares. While guys are used to this, most women are not used to sharing toilets with men they don’t live with. My finance was not a fan of the arrangement.

Fantastic
Originally did not want to go to the Pelican after previous not-so-five-star experiences, but it was later in the evening and the only other places open were not so appealing or what I was craving. Decided to give the Pelican another chance. The wait to be seated outside was short and we ended up having a great view. Our waiter was kind and patient, answered all our questions, did not rush us but was quick with our service. The Magonette Oyster Shooters were not just amazing but unique and beautiful to look at. I also ordered the Seafood Linguine which was a fair portion size for the price and had great flavor. My partner got the Fish and Chips which in comparison to other restaurants in the area, was more affordable surprisingly and of better quality. Love the relaxed, family friendly vibe with great food!

We’ve been here several times over the years. My burger this time seems to have fallen to the shrinkflation of today’s economy. Not even sure it was a quarter pounder. Part of it was almost like a smash-burger. The flavor was still fabulous and the onion rings were good and crispy. My partner loved his fish and chips. Great service and the best spot right on the beach.
