El Cruzero | Mexican is a very authentic spot for Mexican food, located in the back of a Mobil gas station minimart. The atmosphere is rustic, lacking, and feels like a central American roadside diner, but the family that runs it is friendly, welcoming, and muy amable. Food comes out extremely fast. The tacos are some of the best, with pastor tacos having a delicious marinade. The chicken supreme (red) and traditional menudo are so delicious, made with special and unique sazón. Amazing tacos and sopas are very tasty and not overly spiced. The chips with the salsa and the guacamole are very good. A chicken sopa is delightful, with cornmeal cake, refried beans, and chicken baked together. The fish taco is excellent. The rice is amazing with a smoky flavor. Every bite is delicious, fresh, and well made. The food is excellent at a reasonable price, though sometimes a bit variable. Don't let the location fool you; this is authentic and delicious. Highly recommended.
