This is our favorite Hawaiian restaurant in town. The food quality and consistency is excellent, especially for the price. We LOVE their garlic fries with their sweet wasabi dipping sauce. You can't go wrong with their plate lunches and they have amazing desserts.

This is our go yo when we want Hawaiian food. They have a regular menu and a specials board each day. Everything I have ever ordered has been really good If you are lucky there will be passion fruit cheesecake available. I have only been able to get it one time. Service is friendly and attentive. The restais clean and organized. Merch is available to purchase. You order at the counter and then your food is brought out. I love all of the sauces!

The vibe was awesome. Had someone outside playing and singing music. Awesome voice. Only sad part was food was not as good as expected for a 4.7 star rating. Food was a bland even for my taste, not much flavor and quantity was decent. Mac salad also didn't have much flavor. Wished their was at least some vegetables to balance out all the meat.

My friend and I love to try Hawaiian places wherever we are so we checked Yelp and headed to 808 Grinds. This is a no frills place, sitting in a corner of a nearly deserted strip mall. But even in the middle of a weekday afternoon there were plenty of customers. We didnt wait long for our food which was nice, but then it was disappointing. The kalua pork was juicy and nicely smokey, but it was oversalted which was sad. The fried chicken pieces were overcooked and stringy. The rice was very good and the mac salad was okay but forgettable. I hope it was just an off day but we won't be back to find out.

Never knew it's located in the same strip of the DMV and Harbor Freight I have gone many times. So this time I've decided to stop by. Good customer service to take your order and the food was prepared quickly without too much waiting. I ordered the 808 fried chicken with macaroni. Good portion size.

This is the best Hawaiian food I have had in the Portland metro area. I like the fried chicken and my aunt loves the moco loco.
