I live in the neighborhood 0/16 came in for drinks with my small service dog & was served politely by the Hawaiian looking gentleman at the bar (can’t remember his name). The guest took a lot of interest in him & we all had good conversations for about 2 hours, they fed him turkey & we’re super sweet. There was an incident where a lady approached him & tried to pet him & he barked but once I introduced them he allowed her to pet him. He’s about 10lbs he couldn’t hurt a fly if he wanted to. He’s also not an aggressive dog he only barked two times. I’ve brought him in on 2 other occasions & was never denied service or told there were no dogs allowed by any of the bartenders that've helped me previously.
After having a welcoming experience the day prior, I decided to go back & bring my dog for a walk as well this time trying to get some food. Upon entering I noticed there were 2 different bartenders who didn’t seem nice at all. A elderly blond with bangs & glasses & an elderly grumpy old man with glasses, who came in when I was in there the day prior - & I was told by the bartender working that he infused the tequilas. He sat at the table as a guest & had a couple drinks. He was the only person that didn’t interact with me or my dog but I thought nothing of it as I assumed he was just coming in to catch up on some work/ wanted to be left alone. He did give us some side stares & as a mixed person in Portland you don’t really expect anything less from elderly Caucasian people.
Like stated I returned 06/17 & as soon as I walked in he told me “No dogs allowed, you need to leave.” I replied back “I remember you from yesterday, I’ve been here with him & was not denied service. You also don’t know that he’s not a service dog.” He replied to me saying “he knows but he assumed my dog wasn’t a service dog because he barked at the lady who came up behind us & approached us closely.” Anybody that knows service animals knows they’re trained to protect. All he did was bark & once I told him it was okay he literally let her pet him & eased up. That’s what dogs are supposed to do.
I share my experience to say I believe this man was just denying me service because of my race & I’ll never spend a dime here again. They don’t need to worry about me, my money or my dog.
I feel sorry for the nice bartenders who have to work with this individual & it reflect portly on the establishment & them.
If you’re not white I don’t recommend coming here.

I love this place. The staff are amazing, the food is solid, the drinks are inexpensive, and the vibe is relaxed (except for when the Steelers are playing; then it’s crazy). Best dart venue in Oregon, IMHO. Reading through the past reviews, I see some negative comments but I honestly feel those are outliers. Yeah, a waitress can always have an off day, but that’s true everywhere. And yeah if you try to play on certain darts boards during league play or a tournament, it could be an issue. But I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always warm, fun, and inexpensive. A rare gem that you don’t see much of anymore with strip malls and corporate thinking. Check it out!

Stopped here on a whim on the way home, and we were very pleasantly surprised. From the outside we weren't sure what to expect, but this is a real hidden gem. Great quality food that came really quickly, very friendly helpful staff, and a good beer and cider list with some great local options. All the burgers were delicious (cod, cheeseburger and mushroom swiss) and came with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, and pickles. The fried food was all crispy without being greasy. Also ordered a lemon drop martini and that came with a lemon garnish and sugar on the rim. A whole wall of dartboards and a pool table as well which looked fun for another time. All in all a great experience, will be back and highly recommend.

1st time in the sports Bar. This is where the Steeler Nation hang out and I had a great time. It was super crowded and the servers worked their ass off to get everyone their food and busing tables and keeping the place clean. I will be back. The parking wasn’t that great. That my only complaint.

Came here to play darts because I thought it was a cool local spot right next to my house (boy was i wrong) apparently I can’t play darts on certain boards (sorry for not knowing the rules) they made me feel like I wasn’t welcome and that I was some kind of burden because I was practicing darts ON THIER DART BOARD, straight up yelled at me for using a dart board, I will never come here again, this was seriously a terrible experience

This is a great sports bar. Plenty of TV's, good service and just really comfortable. Lots of windows add to the spaciousness of this large bar. The folks behind the counter are always warm and with the updated menu this place rocks! Love A&L!
Vegetarian options: Garden burger. About half the appetizer menu. Salads too! And some things can be adjusted...love the nachos.
Non veg...the fish and chips are amazing!
