Love this bar!! It’s one of my favs in Portland. Cash only, they have an ATM inside by the bathrooms. There’s a pool table, inside seating, a swing, and lots of outside seating. They usually have a fire going outside which really sets the ambience of the place. Friendly bartenders who are quick and to the point.

Parking: Street parking only. Might have to go down a street or two to get a spot if it is busy

Cheap and friendly bar, chill place to hang out. The only thing I don't love is this is clearly Portland's #1 outdoor smoking destination, so if you don't want your clothes to stink, you can't really sit anywhere on the patio.

After a five year absence I finally returned to Portland and was keen to find some new (to me) spots. ARA was an awesome experience - good drinks, good service, and a *very* Portland experience with a crowd as eclectic as the furnishings. Awesome covered patio with fire pit and tables. This is exactly the kind of space I wish we had in Vancouver (BC).
